The Center for Sustainable Dryland Ecosystems and
Societies (CSDES) vision is excellence in management
of dryland ecosystems and societies. To realize this,
one of the strategies the Center employs is an
integrated and interdisciplinary approach to the
management of ecosystems, humans and animals
(livestock and wildlife). This is supported through
the Center objective on ‘improved coordination of
interdisciplinary education, research and outreach for
drylands in Kenya.’
