Original PDR Specifications
• Real-Time counter for the number of people entering and exiting each room in a building• Account for the difference between a person entering and exiting• Reasonably accurate
• Calculate evacuation route in case of an emergency• Account for possible traffic flow• Arrows displaying guided path to nearest emergency exit
Adjusted Specifications
• Real-Time counter for the number of people entering and exiting each room in a building• Detects direction of motion, whether entering or exiting the room• Reasonably accurate
• Detecting people in single file rather than simultaneously• Can only count one person at a time• Two people can’t walk in and out at the same time
• Should only take about 1 to 2 seconds max to walk through the door
Power Consumption
• External Power Source – 12V• Components• Arduino + Wifi shield 200mA-800mA
• Grid Eye Sensor – 3.3V, 10uA• Wireless Shield - ~300mA
Component Price
• Arduino Uno Single Board Microcontroller $27.95• Arduino Wireless Shield $84.95• 12 VDC 1000mA Adapter $8.95• Panasonic Grid Eye IR Sensor(Breakout) $39.21($75.14)
