World Day of Prayer 2020 – Zimbabwe World Day of Prayer is set for March 6th this year. The service will take place at St. Martin of Tours, R.C. in Ennismore (513 Ennis Road) at 1:30 p.m.

Community Easter Blessing Our Lakefield Community Food Bank plans to provide a bountiful abundance of fresh food to our food bank guests on April 7, 2020. This is our last Food Bank day before Easter. We are working with Lakefield Youth Unlimited to offer this special 3rd annual Community Easter Blessing to help provide Easter meals to people in our community. The “Community Easter Blessing” poster tells that grocery gift cards and cash can be dropped off at the Lakefield Youth Unlimited office at 10 Hill Street in Lakefield. Or, you may make your donation directly to our Food Bank. The Food Bank welcomes gift card and cash donations, as well as donations of fresh produce and meats. Please speak with Sandra Peacock (705-652-7320 [email protected]) about this opportunity to bless our community. Last year, $1,605 in cash and gift cards was received, of which 100% was given directly to people in our community. The Food Bank received $930 of these donations. On the Tuesday before Easter, 64 households

visited our Food Bank and selected food for a delicious Easter meal. So far in 2020, Food Bank usage has been even higher than last year. Our Food Bank and Lakefield Youth Unlimited aim to celebrate with others the joyful Easter story of resurrection, hope and love! Please keep this endeavour in your prayers.

The Parish Selection Committee The PSC members continue to meet on a regular basis. The job postings for an incumbent at St. John's on the National Anglican Church website and Toronto Diocese website have expired. At this point, we have not had any communication from Bishop Shaw. An email to Bishop Shaw requesting an update and a potential list of incumbents wishing to join our church has been sent. Bishop Shaw is scheduled to visit St. John's on March 29th, 2020. Hopefully we will have news to share with all prior to Bishop Shaw's visit. Please continue to pray that we will receive a list of Incumbents interested in joining us at St. John's to lift the name of Jesus Christ as God and Saviour. Psalm 23

GOD, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing.

You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from.

True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.

Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I’m not afraid when you walk at my side.

Your trusty shepherd’s crook makes me feel secure.

You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies.

You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing.

Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life.

I’m back home in the house of GOD for the rest of my life.

Eugene Peterson’s paraphrase
