The King County Historic Preservation Program (HPP) will soon complete the third phase of its federal-grant-funded Cultural Resources Protection Project. Phase 1 focused on pre-contact archaeology, Phase 2 on pre-contact archaeology and geoarchaeology, and Phase 3 focuses on ethnohistoric and historic archaeology. All three phases included creation of GIS data. Most of the work was done by consultants.
King County staff routinely use products from all three phases in review of County projects.
