We are all strongly influenced by colours and materials, though we may not always be aware of this. That’s why Martela has a team dealing specifically with materials and colours. We like to know all about the latest material applications, understand new production technologies and create good solutions . Our customers’ views are another key factor in our choices . Because our best products are modifiable, they are always well suited to spaces designed for a particular customer’s needs. All the upholstery materials in our selections are intended for professional use, and they satisfy the stringent safety and durability requirements associated with this. Furniture designed for public spaces must be able to withstand heavy wear, and it must look good even after many years of use. Besides their excellent basic properties, our fabrics have special characteristics to ensure they meet the needs of different interiors in the best way possible and comply with the principles of sustainable development.
Expression derives its inspiration from topical themes and future trends. These products are future classics.
Classic is timelessly modern and stylish. An excellent choice where a long service life is important.
Entry is fresh and youthful and resistant to wear. It is made for heavy use.
We divide our fabrics into three categories.

CARE INSTRUCTIONSAdvice on fabric careRegular vacuuming of upholstered furniture (incl. chairs, sofas and screens) with a soft brush attach-ment or similar is usually sufficient for cleaning fabrics. If liquid is spilled on a fabric, wipe it off as quickly as possible. When removing stains, work from the outer edge towards the centre to prevent the stain spreading. Only use clean-ing agents and cloths designed for
Regular care will extend the service life and life cycle of your furniture. Furniture that lasts is friendly to the environ-ment and is also economical. Please read the instructions for use before you start using your new furniture.
fabrics. Prior to use, test the clean-ing agent on a hidden area of the upholstery. Avoid wetting the fabric excessively. Only use a reputable brand of cleaner, and follow the manufac-turer’s instructions. Many cleaning service compa-nies also clean chairs and sofas. For more information and fabric-specific cleaning instructions, please visit www.martela.com.
Advice on care of metal , wood and plastic parts of furnitureWipe off dust and dirt with a damp cloth. If any liquid is spilt on the furniture, wipe it off immediately, before it dries. To remove stubborn stains, such as coffee, tea or ink, we recommend the use of a mild cleaning agent. Wipe down and dry carefully, then clean with a soft cloth.
