Uploads for Downtime: Mother’s Day Flowers

Show your mom how much you love her by giving her homemade flowers!

Use these materials you can find at home:

• Egg carton• Paint, markers, and/or food dye in

water• Pipe cleaners or plastic straws• Paint brush• Glue• Scissors• Paper

1.Cut out cups from an egg carton. Then cut slits on their sides and fold out petals.

3.In half of the cups, cut small holes on their bottoms and stick straws or pipe cleaners through.

For the pipe cleaners, fold their ends to secure.

2.Decorate with markers or paint (or food dye and water)

4.Wrap the stems together with a pipe cleaner or rubber band, and find a cup as a vase.

5.Glue the remaining cups to paper.

6.Draw stems to each cup, and write a Mother’s Day message.
