Upstate New York’s Unstoppable Nature

Amazing Homes

   In  winter  it  is  very  cold,  which  effects  the  people  living  their  because  there  is  a  lot  of  

snow  and  it  is  hard  to  get  out  of  the  community.  Many  stores  are  closed,  which  has  people  not  getting  all  the  supplies  that  they  need.  In  summer  it  is  very  warm,  which  effects  the  people  living  their  because  in  winter  it  is  20  degrees  and  they  need  to  make  a  big  change  in  clothing  in  the  summer.  Upstate  New  York  is  so  warm  that  by  October  the  heat  starts  to  stop,  and  so  cold  that  the  snow  lasts  ‘till  April.    

Amazing Animals

Upstate New York has many different types of nature, animals, trees, flowers and lakes. Upstate means a lot to me because I grew up there. Every weekend when I was a baby we would go to Upstate New York. My grandparents have had a house in upstate for 30 years. Rainy days in upstate don’t stop us from having a good time, we either go bowling or go to an arcade. On sunny days we relax at the pool, swim in the lake, play in the park or play tennis. There is an extra layer of fun each weekend we are there. I feel different upstate because I have a lot of freedom. I ride my bike by myself and walk by myself. I love the Camelot community everybody is very nice and friendly.

Amazing People

In the summer many people live in Camelot Woods. Many people love to play pickaball, which is like tennis just slightly different rules but on a smaller court. What I like most about my community in upstate is that even people who are older can be involved in sports and games. I really enjoy playing tennis with my grandpa. We have such a fun time together. I also am really happy when me and my grandma swim in the pool. We have a special time together in the pool. It is great having that privilege that your grandparents house is right down the corner. My parents play with me and my sister a lot we always have such a nice time together.

Amazing Birds The nature in Camelot Woods is amazing. When it rains there are salamanders that crawl on moss. On a sunny day you see frogs and snapping turtles in ponds. Once in a while you will see deer or a bear. Most of the animals in Upstate New York are very friendly. There is a big selection of birds upstate, such as woodpeckers, cardinals, blue jays and Robins. On a nice day you can see a variety of different birds flying in the beautiful clouds.

Amazing Lakes

The bodies of water upstate can be different colors depending on what time of day it is. At around 12:00 pm the water is a light blue color, but at 5:00 pm the water starts to change to a light black color. The reflection changes the color of the water.

Amazing Sunsets

At 7:00 PM the sun starts to fade and a sunset appears. The color of the sunset makes the sky so beautiful. The sunset reflects on the lake, which makes the lake look beautiful too.
