version at home in just five easy steps.

• Colour printer

• Scissors

• Thicker-than-average paper (so your flags stay nice and flat)

• Glue, sticky tape or Blu-Tack

• Ribbon, twine or embroidery thread

• Measuring tape (optional)

5Stand back to admire your handiwork, and experiment with hanging your lovely new

bunting all around your home.

3Unravel your ribbon, twine or embroidery thread (without cutting it) and experiment with placing

your individual flags along the length of the thread. Decide how much space you wish to have between each flag, and measure the space accordingly. Or

do away with the measuring tape and position your flags at random intervals instead.

1Print the template found on pages three to six of this download using a colour printer. Our template has twelve flags in total, so have

a think in advance about how many copies you wish to print, depending on your

preferred length of bunting.

2Get busy cutting out each individual flag – if you choose to use sixty flags as a nod to the Diamond Jubilee you might like to recruit

some friends to help with cutting.

4Fold each flag along the light dotted line shown,

ready for sticking onto your chosen thread. Then take your glue, sticky tape or Blu-Tack and

attach each flag to the thread.

Extra tipTurn additional cut-outs on their side and attach a wooden stick on each to make

individual flags. Dot these around your home in flowerpots or vases, or give to your guests as

a memento to take home.
