I General DescriptionThe universal remote controller ofURC22 is a new model of multi-functional remote control for EuropeanMarket It features1 7 Device Banks TV1,TV2,VCR1,

VCR2,SAT/CABLE, CABLE/SATandAUX

2 4 Operating Modes Set-up Mode,Quick Search Mode,Auto SearchMode and Display Mode

3 Transmission and Set-up IndicatingLED

II Operating Process1 Set Up DevicesAccording to the brand code in theattached Device Code List,find out thecode of the device that you want tocontrol Then follow steps as below

l)Press [SET] key and hold it Thenpress the device key .that you wantto control, such as [ I V 1 ] ,[TV2], [VCRl]or[AUX],etc

2)The LED will be on at the momentRelease the pressed keys

3)Enter the 3-digit Device Code4)If the entered Device Code is

correct.the LED will be offautomatically If the entered Codeis incorrect, the LED will blink twiceand keeps being at setup mode(being on) Then pls return to step3)

5)Try if keys on Remote Controllerwork or not If most keys workimproperly,please find other codein the same brand.repeat l)-5)tillyou feel the main keys work well

Note 'In the process of setup.if youwdTil lo slop setup work,pls press devicekey (If no key is pressed in 10 seconds,the remote controller will leave setupmode automatically)2 Quick SearchAfter you have set up several times thedevice you want to control.it still doesnot workfi e the device still cannot becontrolled by URC22), or you cannotfind the correct code ш the Device CodeList,you can use Quick Search functionto find out die correct code When URC22has entered into Search Mode, the presetsearch direction is Forward Search,butyou can use [SET] key to switch betweenForward Search and Backward Searchduring search process

1) Power on the device you want tocontrol If it's a VCR, it msut beinserted with a tape

2) Press and hold[SETJ key In themeantime,press the Device Key thatyou want to control,suchas[TVI],[VCR2]etc

3) The LED will be on at themoment Release the Pressed keys

4) Press the [SETJkey again andrelease it Now the URC-22 unitenters into Quick Search Mode andthe LED keeps flashing

5) Point the URC22 unit to the deviceand press [POWER] key If it'sVCR/AUX, you can press cither[POWER] key or [PLAY]keySeeif the device work or not (power offor play) If Ihe device works,tum tostep 6) If not,repeat step 5)

6) Then check if other keys such as[CH+/-],[V0L+/-] can functionproperly (i e if ihe device can becontrolled) If not, return to step 5)

7) Some devices react slowly to

[POWER] signal. In search process,you can press[SET]key to switchbetween Forward/Backward Searchto change search direction and findthe right code quickly.

8) Whenever you want to leave SearchMode, press Device Key,and theLED will be off.

Note: In Search Mode, besides[POWER] key ([POWER] key and[PLAY] key in the case of VCR/AUX),all other keys can be checked functionnormally.That means you can test otherkeys without leaving Search Mode. TheURC22 unit will leave Search Mode ifno key is pressed for 30 seconds.3. Auto Search

1) Power on the device you want tocontrol.If it is a VCR,it must beinserted with a tape.2) Press and hold[SET] key.In themeantime, press and hold [POWER]key for more than 3 seconds and theauto search will begin.3) Press any key to exit.

4. Brand Code DisplayThe Control Code is a 3-dfgit numberand the URC22 unit can make all the 3digits display.

1) Press and hold the [SET]key,in themeantime press the digit that youwant to display, such as 1, 2 or 3.

2) Release the [SET]key.3) Count the time the LED blinks,and

the blinking time is the digit.Ifthere is no blink, the digit is zero.

5. Remarks:Do not press any keys when replacingbatteries to avoid missing set-up data.
