Install U.S. Cellular Privacy Protector You can open Google Play on your Android device to download and install U.S. Cellular Privacy Protector. Step 1: Open Google Play; Step 2: Select Search, search for “U.S. Cellular Privacy Protector”, and select U.S. Cellular Privacy Protector; Step 3: Select “Install”; Step 4: Wait until the app is downloaded and automatically installed. You can also access the Privacy Protector Google Play download page from the Tools tab within U.S. Cellular Mobile Data Security app.
Activate U.S. Cellular Privacy Protector After the installation is complete, then open the app and you will be prompted to setup a master password for Privacy Protector. See the figures below:
Figure Master Password Setup Master password must be 6-15 numeric digits only and is not recoverable for your security. Please remember your master password or write it down and keep it in a safe place.

Main Interface
U.S. Cellular Privacy Protector protects the personal data in your mobile phone. The main screen displays the main features of Privacy Protector.

Basic Features
Photos and Videos
Photos and Videos features work very similarly. If no photos or videos were loaded into
Privacy Protector previously, you asked to import photos and videos into Privacy
Protector.

Import Photos/Videos
To add photos or videos to Privacy Protector, click the + sign at the top right corner of
the Photos or Videos section. Select Photos or Videos you wish to store inside your
Privacy Protector and tap the Import button.

Restore Photos/Videos
To restore photos and videos to your phone, tap the manage photos or videos icon at
the top right corner of the Photos or Videos section, select photos or videos to restore,
then tap the Restore button. You will be prompted to confirm the decryption and
restoration of the photos or videos you have selected. Restored photos and videos are
no longer protected by Privacy Protector and can be viewed in the phone’s Gallery >
Restore folder.

Delete Photos/Videos
To delete photos and videos on your phone, tap the Manage Photos or Videos icon at
the top right corner of the Photos or Videos section, select photos or videos to restore,
and then tap the Delete button. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion of the
photos or videos you have selected. Deleted photos and videos are no longer stored
anywhere on the phone and cannot be recovered.

Private Contacts

Private Contacts works as a contact list that can only be seen within Privacy Protector.
Any form of communication including calls and text messages with a Private Contact will
not be recorded in the phone’s system, and will only be seen within Privacy Protector.

Add Private Contact
To create a Private Contact, click the + icon at the top right corner of the Private Contact
section. From there, you will be able to create a private contact by adding the number
from your contact list, call logs, SMS logs, or manually inputting his/her name and
phone number.

Restore Private Contact
To restore a Private Contact to your phone, tap the manage Private Contacts icon at the
top right corner of the Private Contacts section, select the Private Contacts to restore,
then tap the Restore button. You will be prompted to confirm the decryption and
restoration of the Private Contacts you have selected. Once restored, calls and text
messages from the contact will be visible on the phone and will no longer be inside
Privacy Protector.

Delete Private Contacts
To delete Private Contacts on your phone, tap Manage Private Contacts icon on the top
right corner of the Private Contacts section, select the Private Contacts to restore and
then tap the Delete button. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion of the Private
Contacts you have selected.

SMS and Call Logs
All SMS and Call logs between you and all your private contacts will be shown here.
This works very similarly to the SMS and Call logs within the phone. MMS picture
messaging is not supported in Privacy Protector.
Basic users can store up to 100 text messages in Privacy Protector, and Premium users
can store unlimited amount of text messages.

Facebook Messages
Privacy Protector lets you send and receive secure messages with your Facebook
friends. These messages are encrypted and can only be read by Facebook friends who
are also using Privacy Protector or have NQ Mobile’s Vault Facebook app installed on
their Facebook.

Premium Protection
Cloud Backup (Premium)
Cloud Backup helps you backup and restore all the content you have stored within your
Privacy Protector. An online Protector account is required to establish your private cloud
for storing your data. As a premium member, you can store up to 5GB of content. There
is no online portal for users to view this content online.

Fake Vault (Premium)
Your Privacy Protector behaves as a vault to keep all of your personal data from others.
Fake Vaults can be created as decoys to the real Vault in which private content is
hidden. A new password must be used each time a new Vault is created. To create a
new Vault, tap the Create a new Vault section within Privacy Protector’s Settings page
and follow the prompts.

Stealth Mode (Premium)
Stealth Mode hides the Privacy Protector icon from the app list on the phone. When in
Stealth Mode, you must call “##password” (password is your master password) from
your phone to enter Privacy Protector.

Break-in Attempts (Premium)
Break-in Attempts takes a snap shot of anyone who enters an incorrect password while attempting to enter Privacy Protector. This can be turned on and off in the Break-in Attempts section, in the top right of the Main Interface.
