Go and See, Ask Why and Show Respect

LEI has partnered with Toyota to create this exclusive and private learning

experience behind the scenes at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky,

GE Appliances, and Summit Polymers.

No lean journey is a smooth one; it can be fraught with false starts and

stops, misalignment, and misunderstandings. But it can be done, with

proper leadership, commitment, and development. This means that going

and seeing others on their own journeys can help you, as a leader, start to

see what is possible for your company.

Ge Appliances did the unthinkable six years ago by investing over $1

billion dollars in new plants, equipment and technology, insourcing

the manufacture of many of our new products and upgrading employee

training. There was no telling the amount of hurdles they would face, but

they overcame them by embedding lean learning into their leadership and

creating a culture of problem solvers.

While at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky you will see TPS at its fi nest, right here in America. You will not

only see and hear about the plant’s challenges and the work that is being done, but you will also hear and see

how Toyota works with its suppliers to ensure the highest possible quality and the shortest lead time.

Come and see the growing and thriving manufacturing community in Kentucky, where you’ll meet fellow leaders

struggling with similar problems (and perhaps some who have already dealt with them successfully).
