5G egg Setup Guide Be sure you have a [KT] 5G SIM card before setting up your egg

1. Insert your 5G SIM card in the slot on the right side of your egg. Poke the hole to release the SIM card tray.

2. Press and hold the power button on the left side of your egg for more than 2 seconds to turn it on.

• The first time you turn on your 5G egg, the system will run a number registration check with the KT network. If registration fails, restart your 5G egg. If registration fails three times, call KT Customer Support at 100 (080-000-1472).

3. Wait while the egg turns on and finds the [KT] network. When the WiFi light is solid white you should be able to connect to WiFi. This takes about 2 minutes.

4. In your device’s WiFi settings, connect to one of the default WiFi names. The names are on the sticker on your setup guide that came with your egg.

5. Enter http://myhotspot.linksys.com or http://192.168.1.1 in a browser to visit the egg’s settings screens. This is how you will log in each time you want view or change settings.

6. Enter the default password on the [box / insert / sticker on this guide] to log in.

7. Use the settings screens to customize your login password and WiFi names and passwords.

For best results, make sure you have a good cellular signal when setting up your egg.

WPS Pairing To pair devices with your egg, press and hold the WPS button for more than 2 seconds.

Features You can view or change your egg settings in a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. All features are available regardless of the device used, but screens might look a little different because of their size and format. All screens in this user guide are from a phone browser. Navigation Tap the menu icon to navigate around the app.

Dashboard Dashboard is a snapshot of your egg. Follow your data usage, see whether your egg is online and how many devices are connected to it. You also can copy your WiFi name and password to share with others over email or text message.

Note: Data usage numbers are approximate. Check with your carrier for actual usage.

Network Settings WiFi Settings View or change your Wi-Fi name and password, secruity type, channel width and WiFi channel. Use Wi-Fi Protected Setup to connect devices to your egg without having to enter the WiFi name and password.

LAN Settings View or change your egg’s local area network settings. Turn on/off DHCP server, set a DHCP range or change the client lease time.

Connected Devices See all devices connected to your egg.

Device Management Turn on USB Tethering to allow devices to connect to your egg directly with a USB cable. Sleep Mode allows you to set a timer that will shut down your egg if there is no WiFi activity for the designated amount of time. Press the power button for 2 seconds or less to activate WiFi in sleep mode. You can also change your login password here. A factory reset will erase all customized settings.

SIM Security When you turn on SIM Security, you must enter a PIN to unlock your SIM card each time you use the egg. You get three chances to enter a correct PIN. If you enter an incorrect PIN three times, you will need your personal unblocking key (PUK) to unlock the SIM card. The PUK comes on the plastic packaging that held your SIM card.

5G egg 설정 안내

5G egg 를 세팅하기 전에 5G SIM 카드가 있는지 확인하십시오

1. 5G egg 의 오른쪽에 있는 슬롯 구멍을 찔러 SIM 카드 트레이를 꺼낸 후, KT 에서 제공하는

5G 나노 SIM 카드를 삽입합니다.

2. egg 왼쪽에 있는 전원 버튼을 LED 가 켜질 때까지 2 초 이상 누르십시오

• 번호 개통 : 5G egg 를 구매한 후, 처음으로 egg 를 켜시면, 최초 1 회에 한하여 번호 개통

절차를 진행해야 합니다. 만일 번호 등록이 실패할 경우, 5G egg 를 재시작해 주세요. 만일

3 회 이상 egg 를 껐다가 켰는데도 불구하고, 네트워크 접속이 안되는 경우는 KT 고객센터 100

(080-000-1472)으로 문의 바랍니다.

3. 5G egg 를 켜신 후, 기기가 [KT] 네트워크를 찾는 동안 기다리십시오. 와이파이 표시등이 백색이 되면

와이파이에 연결할 수 있습니다. 여기에는 약 2 분 정도가 소요됩니다.

4. 연결하려는 기기의 와이파이 세팅에서 WiFi 이름을 확인하여 연결하십시오. 기본 WiFi 이름은 5G

egg 와 동봉된 셋업가이드의 스티커에 있습니다.

5. 브라우저에서 http://myhotspot.linksys.com 또는 http://192.168.1.1 을 입력하여 핫스팟 5G egg

설정 화면으로 이동하십시오. 여기서 설정을 보거나 변경할 수 있습니다.

5G egg 의 설정 확인 및 변경은 스마트폰, 태블릿 또는 컴퓨터의 브라우저를 통하여 하실 수 있습니다. 모든

기능은 접속하는 장치의 종류에 관계없이 이용할 수 있지만, 장치의 크기와 형식이 다르기 때문에 화면은 약간

다르게 보일 수 있습니다. 이 매뉴얼에 있는 모든 화면은 스마트폰 브라우저를 기준으로 작성되었습니다.

대시보드

대시보드는 핫스팟 5G egg 의 요약정보를 보여줍니다. 데이터 사용량을 확인할 수 있고 핫스팟 5G egg 가

온라인인지, 얼마나 많은 디바이스가 연결되어 있는지 보여줍니다. 와이파이 이름과 비밀번호를 다른

사람에게 문자로 보내줄 수도 있습니다.

*참고: 데이터 사용량은 대략적인 수치입니다. 정확한 사용량 확인을 위해서는 통신사에 문의 바랍니다.

네트워크 설정

WiFi 설정

와이파이 이름, 비밀번호, 보안 유형, 채널폭, 와이파이 채널 등의 정보를 확인하거나 변경할 수 있습니다.

WPS 를 활용해서 와이파이 이름과 비밀번호를 입력할 필요 없이 디바이스를 연결할 수 있습니다.

LAN 설정

5G egg 의 LAN (Local Area Network) 설정을 확인하거나 변경할 수 있습니다. DHCP 서버를 켜거나 끌 수

있으며, DHCP 범위를 설정하고 클라이언트 리스 타임을 변경할 수 있습니다.

연결된 장치의 정보 표시

5G egg 에 연결된 모든 디바이스를 볼 수 있습니다.

장치 관리

USB 테더링을 켜서 USB 케이블로 장치를 5G egg 에 직접 연결할 수 있습니다. 슬립모드 설정을 통해

와이파이를 쓰지 않는 사용 시간을 정하면 정해진 시간 이후에는 5G egg 의 WiFi 사용이 자동으로 중지됩니다.

슬립모드의 WiFi 를 활성화하기 위해서는 전원 버튼을 2 초 이하로 누르세요. 그리고, 로그인 비밀번호도

여기서 변경할 수 있습니다. 공장 초기화는 모든 변경된 설정을 공장 출고시의 상태로 초기화 합니다.

SIM 보안

SIM 보안을 켜면 5G egg 을 사용할 때마다 PIN 을 입력해서 SIM 카드를 잠금 해제 해야 합니다.

세번 연속으로 틀린 PIN 을 입력하면 PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) 로 SIM 카드를 잠금 해제 해야 합니다.

PUK 는 SIM 카드가 있는 플라스틱 패키지에 있습니다.
