Mar 2nd-4th - A cold and moist storm system brought widespread snowfall to most of
the Beehive State. The heaviest snowfall fell across northern and central Utah, with 2-3 feet of the greatest snow on Earth falling in the Cottonwood Canyons, and well over a
foot along the benches of the Wasatch Front and over portions of the Cache Valley.
Top: Deep snow cover in Woodland Hills, where 21 inches of new snow was reported.
Bottom: Heavy snow that fell in Bountiful evidenced by this photo from Mueller Park.

Mar 17th-18th - A potent Pacific storm system moved across the state over the weekend,
bringing another good shot of snow to most of Utah. The heaviest snow once again fell over the mountains and benches of northern Utah, though some of the higher valleys and basins
in the rest of the state felt the storm’s impact as well.

Mar 21st-23rd - Spring arrived in Utah with another blast of winter, especially across the
northern mountains, where another foot or so of fresh powder fell. Rain fell across most of the lower elevations, with the largest amounts in the Cache Valley and northern Wasatch
Front. Heavy rain also fell across the southern Utah mountains.
Top: Snowflakes flying at Cherry Peak Ski Area east of Logan.
Bottom: Fresh powder on the mountain at Snowbasin, where nearly a foot of snow was reported.

Mar 25th-26th - Another early spring storm brought scattered thunderstorms and a
mixture rain and snow to much of the Beehive State. As the rain changed to snow across northern Utah, it made for dangerous road conditions along the Wasatch Front and over
the mountain passes. These conditions led to a 23-vehicle accident on I-80 in Parleys Canyon, including several semi-trailers. There was one fatality reported in the pileup.
