What is MyCAA?
MyCAA is a scholarship for active duty military spouses.
Students are eligible to receive up to $4,000 and funds can be used at any academic institution approved for participation in the
MyCAA scholarship.
The goal of MyCAA is to help provide education to military spouses for portable jobs/careers they can take with them as the relocate during their spouse’s enlistment in the military.

Student Eligibility
The MyCAA program is open to all eligible spouses under the new program guidelines below:
Spouse of an active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine service member or activated Reserve member in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O2
If the spouse of National Guard and/or AGR member, the sponsor must be on federal Title 10 active duty orders as reported in DEERS.
Spouses of Guard/Reserve member in an Alert, Transition Assistance, or Post Deployment status are not eligible.

Current Benefit
Spouses are eligible to receive $4,000 over a two year period. If a spouse is pursuing a certificate program, a waiver is available for the spouse to collect all $4,000 up front.
Spouses must finish their program within 3 years of their start date.
ed2go certificate programs must be completed within 18 months of the start date
Funding is limited to only Associates degrees, certificates, certification training, and licensure programs.

Benefit Amounts – Explained
Example: If a spouse enrolls in a program that costs $1,995 and completes the program in 4 months, the spouse will have $2,005 left in their account to use toward additional training.
Spouses may enroll in multiple programs that provide a pathway to a portable career. Example: Administrative and Clinical Dental Assistant

Becoming a MyCAA Approved School
Schools must be accredited nationally or regionally by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Certified Department of Defense-approved state
Industry-standard regulatory body
Schools must meet one of the following requirements in order to be eligible to qualify as a provider:
