Professor Emeritus Douglas Edgar Joshua is an Emeritus Professor in Medicine atUniversity of Sydney, and Consultant Hematologist at the Institute of Hematology,Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He received his BSC, MB BS, and his D Phil degreesfrom University of Sydney and University of Oxford. He is a fellow of The RoyalAustralasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists ofAustralasia. Prof. Joshua has a long standing interest in both
Professor Mary Bebawy has a PhD in Pharmacy (USYD) and Head of theLaboratory of Cancer Cell Biology and Therapeutics, Graduate School of HealthUTS. She has an active research portfolio focusing on the molecular basis of cancerrelapse. She is an internationally recognized cancer researcher and pharmaceuticalscientist with a background in commercial R & D. Her team were the first todiscover the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in the spread of cancer multidrug resistance (MDR) (Bebawy et al., 2009).
