VA Preteen Convention 2015 Who: 4th & 5th Graders When: March 27-28
Where: Fairmount Christian Church, Mechanicsville, VA
Info: http://www.vapreteenconvention.org/
Total Cost: $65 (registration $45 & hotel $20)
What kid doesn’t like legos? Well, we will see a
lot of those (kids and legos) this year at the VA
Preteen Convention. This year’s theme is The
Master Builder, and our 4th and 5th graders will not
want to miss this awesome weekend convention!
Everything done in those few days is geared for this age
group, and packed with fun! The convention leaders, as well as all youth leaders
have a true desire to see these preteens “built up” in God’s truth, to understand that
HE is the Master Builder, and that He has a plan for each of us.
I wanted to put this out early so that parents have ample time to plan, discuss,
and ask questions. We will be staying at the Hampton in Mechanicsville, VA.
Parents will receive all information concerning sponsors, numbers and
accommodations prior to leaving. The registration amount of $45 is due no later
than MARCH 15th. The remaining $20 must be paid before we leave on the 27th.J
If you have any questions, please contact Sissy Giffin at [email protected] or call
or text 619-2592.

First Notice for Annual Report The Annual Report is a brief summary of what has happened at Towne South
during the previous year. A number of people are asked to write about their
specific ministries. However, there may be something you would like to chronicle
for the future that deals with what has happened in your area of ministry at Towne
South during 2014. If so, please send your write up to [email protected] by
February 3.

CHILDREN Our Nursery and Children’s programs offer a warm and caring atmosphere
and are well supervised. Nursery and Pre-school classrooms are located
along the entry hallway. A Junior Church service for grades 1st - 5th is
located upstairs.
COMMUNION Jesus gave us this memorial to call our attention each week to the price He
paid for our sins - death on a cross. All Christians are invited to participate
in communion and meditate on God’s love and grace.
OFFERING Those of us who have committed our lives to Jesus give out of love to
support His work here on earth. If you are a guest with us today, you are
welcome to express your gratitude by giving but do not feel pressured.
DECISIONS Near the end of the service an invitation is extended. It is an opportunity for
you to walk forward to make your intention known to accept Jesus as your
Savior, rededicate your life, transfer your membership to this congregation,
or ask for prayer and spiritual counsel.
BAPTISM You may witness a baptism today. Immersion in water pictures the death
and burial of our old life without Jesus and the beginning of our new life as
His follower. It is the moment when God’s grace unites with our faith
providing forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
INFORMATION To request more information about the Christian life, this Church, or how
we may minister more effectively to your needs, please come to the table
at the front at the conclusion of the service.

King Day of Service. This year’s service projects
include: painting at local public schools and for
local residents, landscaping, and a cleanup project at the wetlands site for ECMS.
Our day will start with a morning sendoff @ 8:00 and devotional with Propaganda
