Bredemann has been a family owned

and operated business since 1912 with

the fourth generation of family work-

ing there today. Their goal has never

been to be the biggest dealership but

In 1949 Joseph Bredemann III pur-

chased all outstanding shares of Busse

Buick where he was serving as the prin-

cipal and changed the name to Busse-

Bredemann Buick. In 1976 Bredemann

was awarded a Toyota franchise locat-

ed at 700 West Touhy Avenue in Park

Ridge. The Buick dealership remained

downtown on Northwest Highway.

Bredemann continued to grow by pur-

chasing a Ford dealership in Glenview

and built their Lexus franchise right

next door on Waukegan Road in 1990.

In 2002 Bredemann signed an agree-

ment with GM to switch from Buick to

Chevrolet and moved the Chevrolet

and Toyota operations to their current

location on Dempster Street in Park

Ridge next to Advocate Lutheran Gen-

eral Hospital.
