From the Pastor
It is not often we hear of God calling someone to Himself
through blessings. It is difficult to concentrate on the Lord
when blessings are all around. However, trials and hard
times seem to always make us look to the Lord.
His blessings, too many times, make us look elsewhere.
Sometimes, our mental perception of what a Christian should
be, derails us from concentrating on the Lord. We become
busy in trying to fit a “mold” or “formula” for the Christian life. All the while,
God has declared Himself, God has revealed Himself, and the Bible is God's
revelation to us. Listen to God’s awesome description of Himself as He reveals
Himself to us.
Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is
no other. Isaiah 45:22
The person we strive to be is attained by turning to the Lord. The shame of
our past, the trials of today, and the worries of tomorrow dissolve when we
“turn to Him.” The phrase “and be saved” does not just mean “to be saved.”
It also means “because you are saved.” God has set Himself apart from His
creation. While we are His children, we are to “turn to” Him because there is
no one else to turn to. He is God!
This Sunday, we will begin a new series “BEYOND BELIEF.” I hope you will
make it a point to be here.
Blessed to be your pastor,
Bro. Tommy
