• Being made by rotating ultra-powerful fiber in the form of a circle (endless type)in order to overcome the shortcoming of the existing wire rope, it is stronger thana wire rope, the shape is mild and flexibility is excellent.
• It is used for transfer, loading and unloading of cargo from small and big objectsto large cargo in the whole industrial fields.

A round sling is composed of inner thread which maintains strength and skin which wraps the inner thread in the form of a tube in order to protect it.
• Inner thread : It is ultra-powerful special fiber made by twisting fine fiber intoa fixed thickness and rotating it in the form of a circle (endless type) in orderto maintain strength of a round sling.
• Skin : Though skin takes the role to wrap the inner thread in order to preventit from being damaged, it does not have any effect on tensile strength.

Comparison of abrasion resistance of high functional fibers
• Though Heracron is an aramid fiber like Kevlar, it is inadequate for large round sling as it easilybreaks and cracks.
• Dyneema (UHMWPE) is not used as material for a round sling as, though it has a goodabrasion resistance, it is easily hardened when the sling material and metal fittings are rubbedtogether causing deterioration of strength because it has a low melting point.

Safety test• In accordance with frequency of use of the sling, the core is damaged as
fatigue increases.
• As electrically conductive wires are inserted inside the core of the sling, thecondition of the inner thread can be easily known by checking the resistanceat the terminal attached on the surface using a tester as shown in the figurebelow
Economic practicality • The period of use can be extended by checking the fatigue and damage
condition of the inner thread while, in the past, disuse of a sling was decidedby visual inspection of the outer skin.
• Slings can be continuously used after repairing only the skin.

• Never use the sling for an object of which thesling contacting part is sharp. (※ 95% of safetyaccident is caused by cutting of the sling.)
• Be sure to check before starting the work.
• Never use the sling exceeding the nominalsafety working load marked on the label.
• Do not allow anyone to stand below the liftedobject or within the scope of danger.
• Be sure to attach protective sleeves at shapecorners.
• When using the sling with one end inserted intothe other end, be sure to fully tighten it and,when lifting the object using 2 slings or more,do not lift it slanted.
• Do not draw the object with the sling contactingthe bottom or do not pull out the sling whilebeing pressed by the object.
• If the sling is snatched to lift the object atinstantaneous speed, an extreme load will beapplied.
• Do not store slings in a place exposed to heat,sunlight or chemicals.
• When using the sling under a special condition,be sure to consult the matter with themanufacturer.

(To be scrapped) If outer and inner skins are apparently damaged to expose the core and inner thread is damaged.
(To be repaired) The sling of which the outer skin is damaged to expose inner skin shall be repaired by Suhbo if the core is found to have no damage after inspection.
(To be repaired) The sling of which sewing thread at the sewn part or connection part on the skin is loosened to expose inner skin shall be repaired by the manufacturer if the core is found to have no damage after inspection.
(To be scrapped) If the resistance value at the terminal of the joint is infinite, it shall be scrapped or inspected. If it is between 00 Ω and 00 Ω, it shall be continued being used. And if it is 00 Ω, it shall be used after being inspected and repaired. The resistance value for each sling is marked on the label.
(To be scrapped) Slings of which the skin shows apparent phenomenon of discoloration, coloration, melting or dissolution due to heat or chemicals or of which usability cannot be judged due to serious contamination.
(To be repaired) A sling which has been used exceeding the following service period in principle even though appearance or the inner thread shows no problem in accordance with the use condition of the sling. (1) When it is used only indoors, 3 years after start of use(2) When it is used only outdoors, 2 years after start of use
If protective sleeves are not effective as deformation or damage is apparent, the sling shall be scrapped.

Effect of the thickness of sling and pin diameter on strength
• In case of Figures 1, 2 and 3, when same inner threads are filled, the strength of sling is in theorder of 1 > 2 > 3. That is to say, the wider the surface area is like no. 1 and the thicker thediameter of the pin (D) is, the higher the efficiency of the strength is.

Example) In case the maximum load is 50 tons, the initial thickness of the sling is 35 mm and the thickness of sling when load is applied is 20 mm, and, if the diameter of the pin is 20 mm, the strength is decreased to 40 %. Use of round sling shackle for fiberWhen using a shackle for a round sling, a shackle for fiber had better be used.
• The thickness of the shackle is wide and flat.• As the curve of the shackle is gradual, it prevents the sling from being damaged.• It has high safety of use.
