The Veolia World Solar Challenge Masterbrand is based upon a set of graphic elements: the sun symbol, the logo type, the corporate typeface and the corporate colours. The standards outlined in these guidelines apply to all advertising, print signage and promotional items.

It is necessary to follow specifications to ensure consistent application of the masterbrand. Therefore the symbol, logotype and relationships must not be altered.

Please ensure the correct format is used.

CMYK and spot colour artwork is available as electronic art on CD in formats suitable for Macintosh and PC platforms.

CMYK and spot colour artwork is for print applications such as signage and stationery. For on screen applications such as television, internet and multi media graphics convert the files to RGB format.

Ensure the correct format and colour variant is selected for the appropriate application. The selection will be dependent on the manufacturing process limitations and reproduction size, particularly in the case of promotional material. Full colour, and single colour (mono) variations have been provided.

The logotype must not be re typeset, traced, respaced, redrawn or modified in any way.

The logotype must always be used with the sun symbol and the corporate typeface in the specified relationships. The proportions, spacing and relative positioning of the elements must remain consistent.

Logo 1 and Logo 2 are the preferred masterbrands.

The logo must never be made up of a texture or pattern or appear on a textured or patterned background. Where possible the logo should be printed in spot colour. When using four colour process printing, it is necessary to supply colour swatches and to specify that they match exactly. Never specify percentage breakdowns of process colours.

The sun is reversed as white.

When a reversed mono version of the logo is required, version 5 or 6 may be used.

The arch behind the sun is reversed as white. The sun becomes black.

All other elements are white.

In certain applications the Masterbrand may not be applicable. For these circumstances a horizontal version is provided.

The horizontal logo is based upon a set of graphic elements: the sun symbol, the logo type, the corporate typeface and the corporate colours.

The logotype must not be re typeset, traced, respaced, redrawn or modified in any way.

The logotype must always be used with the sun symbol and the corporate typeface in the specified relationships. The proportions, spacing and relative positioning of the elements must remain consistent.

A sun watermark graphic is available for use as a graphic device to enhance branding.

The sun must be printed as 20% tint of PMS 130 C.

Corporate Colours

The corporate colours are:

blue PMS 2756C

gold PMS 130C

red PMS 485C

Uncoated stocks

When printing on uncoated stocks, the PMS colours are:

blue PMS 2756U

gold PMS 109U

red PMS 485C

RGB colours

When the Veolia World Solar Challenge brand is used in onscreen applications (television, web, etc), the following RGB mixes should be used.

blue R = 28 G = 38 B = 116

gold R = 253 G = 185 B = 19

red R = 255 G = 0 B = 0

Four colour process

In situations where only 4 colour process is available for printing, please specify that the PMS colours be matched as closely as possible. Ask the printer to match the PMS colours from the CMYK mix.

The Masterbrand logo must not be reproduced smaller than 10 mm high, using the height of the copy as a guide.

The Masterbrand logo with the date must not be reproduced smaller than 20 mm high, using the height of the copy as a guide.

The horizontal logo must not be reproduced smaller than 10 mm high, using the height of the copy as a guide.

The horizontal logo with the date must not be reproduced smaller than 18 mm high, using the height of the copy as a guide.

Minimum Clear Zone

When using the Veolia World Solar Challenge Masterbrand and horizontal logo, keep a clear zone surrounding each logo as displayed. The clear zone should be free from typography, illustrations or any other graphic.

The clear zone distance on the top, bottom and sides of the logo is X. X is determined by the height of the sun logo.

Veolia World Solar Challenge Clothing

The Veolia World Solar Challenge logo may be embroidered or screen printed on shirts as shown below. Various uses of the corporate colours are permitted within the construction of the shirts. White or black shirts are also acceptable. No other colours are permitted.

Please note, when the logo appears on a dark coloured shirt, the words WORLD and SOLAR and the date change to white. The VEOLIA logo has a white keyline.

Please note, when the logo appears on a yellow tshirt, the word SOLAR goes to white.
