I. Introduction and short report on visit to USC (Spain) representatives of TerSU

(Uzbekistan)- Travel to USC took place between June 1-10, 2014- Main objective – observation of quality indicators, working

documentation and evaluation processes of university system implementing in Spain and further in EU

- Visit of ACSUG-ANECA (Regional Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation) in order to get better informed about the ACSUG, ENQA and Galician university system for quality evaluation process

- Visit of Lugo Campus USC – Introduction of facilities, laboratories and libraries by Agustin Merino

- Presenting of Studies of Agriculture at the USC and Quality Assurance by dean of the Agriculture faculty Dr. Javier Bueno

- Meeting with researchers of USC Lugo Campus and presentation of SAMUz project (by Agustin Merino) and Higher Education System and Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan (by TerSU representatives).

I. Introduction and short report on visit to USC (Spain) representatives of TerSU

(Uzbekistan)- Workshop in ACSUG about the practical case explanation of

Verification of Official University Degrees presented by ACSUG Programme Unit staff in order to better understand and to interpret the guideline of verification and by comparing EU (Spanish) standards with Uzbek System.

- Recommendations and instruction on assessment of university degree were developed for further implementation

- Agreement about to carry out a pilot case at Samarkand Institute of Agriculture at the final meeting with USC partners.

- Afterward, probably in September 2014 USC representatives would visit Uzbekistan for practical seminars at Uzbek partners higher educational institutions.

- Moreover, the both sides agreed to establish networking between USC and Uzbek partner institutions scholars and researchers to colloborate in the field of agriculture and implement joint projects. This idea could be extended to the rest of the countries participating in the project.

II. Comparison of official university degrees of Spain with Uzbekistan.

• According to the Royal Decree 861/2010, of July 2nd, amending the Royal Decree 1393/2007 of October 29th the organization of official university studies in Spain includes that the curriculum leading to the obtaining of official degrees should be verified by the University Council

• And ACSUG is responsible for evaluation, prior to verification by the University Council, of the new curriculum presented by the universities of the University System of Galicia (SUG)

• According to the provisions of the Royal Decree, the Spanish Network of University Quality Agencies (REACU) has developed a Protocol for verifying Official University Degrees (Undergraduate and Master)
