Both QR-codes of a particular original product interact in the following way: the external code, when read, shows the message that the product is original, but when the internal QR-code is read, it changes the status of the external code to “used”. So, any copy of this particular product, even if it identical to the original one, will show the message that the product has been used, when its external QR-code is read, regardless of the location of the forged copy.

VeritasQR: a method to prevent forgery and falsification of products.

AREAS DE APLICACIÓN. Any industry producing goods that wishes to protect its brand against forgery

NECESIDAD: Two: the need of producers to protect their products for brand protection or to increse revenues, and the need of users of purchasing and consuming an original product, that may be safer, durable, effcient.

In this method, every manufactured product must contain two different QR-codes: one outside the product, available to anyone, and other internal, that can be read only when a customer has acquired the product.

In practice, when a potential customer has a brand new product in his/her hands, and the reading of the external QR shows that the product has been used, the product is a forgery, since the only way that this message is displayed is by reading the internal QR code of the product at hand, which has not been opened. For products that do not have an “inside” and “outside”, like lenses, watches, bags, etc., both QR-codes can be located in a special tag where the lecture of the inner tag requires for instance ripping or peeling off a cover to undisclosed the internal QR.
