the red represents the blood the blue triangle represents the three sides of

government and the blue water of the ocean the white represents victory, liberty, and

independence.

Food

The food they eat are bacalao. Bacalao is a fried fish that they catch in the sea.

Another thing they eat are tostones. Tostones are fried plantain , they are really good!

They also eat rice and beans. Rice and beans are very good and it is healthy!!

Dress In Puerto Rico the typical dress is a white shirt

with a skirt. The skirt has colorful and beautiful flowers. People usual wear those dresses when there are special occasions like the parrandas in Christmas.

Customs Puerto Rico has a lot of customs.One of the customs are three kings day. In three

kings day the do a lot of music and fake men dress up like kings.

They also do Parrandas in Christmas nights. They do el Paso Fino ,people ride on horses in a

ranch The last custom are the fighting cocks, they also

do it on Christmas.

Government

Puerto Rico is a self-governing common wealth in association with the US. The chief of the states is the president of USA. The government is an elected governor, Luis Fortuno. There are two different types of chamber: house of representatives, and the senate.

Symbol The symbol of Puerto Rico has a sheep in the

middle that means “cordero de dios”. That is sitting on a big fat bible.

The sheep is holding a flag.
