The tried-and-tested systematicViega press technology has made Viega the number one in press connecting technology. Pipes, connectors and tools are perfectly coordinated and always guarantee a cost-effective total solution. Copper, gunmetal, stainless steel and plastic can be easily combined and be cold-pressed using the high-quality Viega pressguns. This ensures both safety and maximal comfort as a matter of course.

Quality with a guaranteeViega Pressguns are a central compo-nent of the extensive Viega system guar-antee, which is based on the transferred liability agreements between Viega and the ZVSHK/BHKS. You can rely on it.

Central leakage test thanks to SC-Contur Viega is the first on the market to guar-antee that the impermeability of a com-plete installation can be tested centrally from the manometer if the installation is completely equipped with SC-Conturs. The central leakage test provides greater safety and convenience as it is no longer necessary to visually inspect each indi-vidual press connection. If connections have not been pressed, the medium leaks out causing a loss of pressure on the manometer. Performing a dry leak-age and load test instead of a wet one reduces the hygienic risks. Hygienic risks are posed by the water that has been standing in the pipes during the period from initial filling and commis-sioning.

The Viega SC-Contur can be clearly recog-nised by a coloured marking on the seam. Inadvertently un-pressed connectors can be recognised as leaky through a central leakage test.

Can a low weight, compact dimensions and uncompromising performance be combined into one tool? The new Pressgun 5 provides the evidence. Powered by either battery or mains, it easily presses dimensions from 12 to 108 mm – making it one of the the smallest and lightest pressing tools for XL press connections on the market.

Light and compact – just 3.2 kgWith its reduced dimensions, the new Viega Pressgun 5 is considerably more manageable than the previous model. So you can press connections easily, even when space is tight. The low weight provides even more comfort when working. Believe it or not, the new Pressgun 5 is 1.3 kg lighter than its pre-decessor. It provides the maximum level of comfort while working with no more than 3.2 kg in pure machine weight. Combined with the ergonomic pistol-shape design, it is possible to operate the tool practically using just one hand.

Powerful batteryWhat has been reduced in terms of weight and size has been added to the Pressgun 5 in terms of power. The battery-operated design has a new high-performance battery with a 18V/2 Ah capacity. This offers the usual high performance and an improved cold-start function with a smaller size and lower weight. Integrated monitoring electronics also effectively protect the battery from deep discharge.

New mains adapter, full compatibilityThe mains adapter of the Pressgun 5 is also available separately and is com-patible with both the Pressgun 4B and the Pressgun Picco.

Integrated LED lampThe pressing points are frequently poorly lit in pre-wall, ceiling and floor constructions. For this reason, the Pressgun 5 is equipped with an LED light, which lights the pressing point well for work – for safe pressing.

180° pressing head Inaccessible points can be a chal-lenge for pressing tools. But not for the Pressgun 5. Using the Pressgun 5, you can connect points in pipe shafts and front-wall installations – the 180° press head and jointed press rings make it possible.

40,000 pressingsThanks to its high-quality workmanship, the Pressgun 5 only needs servicing after 40,000 pressings or 4 years, whichever comes first. This ensures low maintenance costs and servicing times. An LED display will tell you about the required service in good time. At 42,000 pressings, the tool automatically switches off. This guarantees the highest possible level of safety.

Despite its small dimensions, the Viega Pressgun Picco exhibits technical great-ness. It has an efficient lithium-ion battery with a very good cold-start function. The weight of just 2.5 kg and the pistol shape make the Pressgun Picco par-ticularly handy and practical. It is suit-able for metal connectors between 12 and 35 mm and for plastic connectors between 12 and 40 mm and only needs servicing after 32,000 pressings. Further evidence that Viega quality is no issue for cost-effectiveness.

Included with the Pressgun Picco: The case with press jaws, either for metal-lic (15, 22, 28 mm) or PE-Xc systems (16, 20, 25 mm).

The mains adapter developed with the new Pressgun 5 can even convert the handy Pressgun Picco into a mains-powered version.

But when a service is finally necessary, the LED display on the back of the appliance will let you know in good time. The service is then carefully carried out by authorised Viega part-ners. While your tool is being serviced, you can use a rental tool if required.
