RTI Ships the Powerhouse CX10 Countertop/Under-Cabinet Touchpanel
New 10-Inch Touchpanel Delivers HD Video, Flexible Mounting Options, and Intuitive Custom Control
SHAKOPEE, Minn. — July 31, 2017 — RTI, a leading control and automation manufacturer for
residential and commercial settings, today announced that it has begun shipping its all-new
CX10 touchpanel. From the executive boardroom to the gourmet kitchen, the CX10 delivers
intuitive control and a high-end entertainment experience in a versatile touchpanel interface.
“With the introduction of the CX10, we continue to broaden our range of innovative touchpanels,
providing integrators with yet another great option for residential and commercial clients,” said
Mike Everett, Vice President of Global Sales, RTI. “The CX10 is a step up in touchscreen size
from our CX7, which will give our dealers more space to create a custom interface, but the
features that set this unit apart are the ability to watch HD video, built-in video intercom, and
amazing installation flexibility.”
The CX10’s integrated 10-inch, touch-capacitive 1280x800 WXGA-resolution LCD screen
delivers simple, intuitive control of the environment and entertainment. Going beyond control,
the touchpanel is also a vibrant HD video display supported through an integrated HDBaseT
input and stereo speakers. Easy to mount on a countertop or beneath a cabinet, the display has
a tilt range from 10 to 90 degrees for the best viewing angle possible. Additional user-friendly
features include video intercom support and a built-in composite input to view video from
security cameras and other devices. For users’ convenience, a proximity sensor automatically
brings the unit to life when it is approached, while an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts
the backlighting for the best visibility.
For integrators, the CX10 supports wired 10/100 HDBaseT and wireless Ethernet for seamless
setup, two-way control and feedback, and convenient programming updates. For reliable
operation, the unit is powered by a separate power supply or by Power over Ethernet Plus. The
user interface can be customized to provide an intuitive control experience that meets the
specific needs of any installation using RTI’s Integration Designer® APEX software.
