Helena/Lysander Choice Assignment
In 2.1.195-251, Helena is chasing Lysander into the woods as he pursues Hermia. You can imagine that this does not go well for her. Read their exchange and choose one of the three options to best showcase your knowledge and interpretation for 2.1.195-251. Take your time and be creative! Prepare to present your choice to a portion of the class.
Choice 1: Storyboard
Draw a minimum of six pictures to represent this interaction. You may include speech bubbles
and narration to portray Helena and Lysander’s feelings.
Choice 2: Convert to text language
You can lay this out like a script, iPhone text bubbles, Facebook/Twitter messages, etc.
Choice 3: Act
With a partner, act out Helena and Lysander’s interaction. This should be word-for-word,
Shakespeare’s play. You want to be comfortable enough with the text, that you barely use your
book. You should include necessary gestures and movements. If you stand there and read
the scene, you will not get full credit.
**Extra Credit if you are COMPLETELY memorized.
