Career Day 2015 a HUGE Success! Thanks to All!

From “Careers on Wheels” (Grades K-3) to the Career Exploration Component (Grades 4 & 5), the day was a

phenomenal success, thanks to Coordinator Lyanne Dowling and her incredible team of community volunteers.

MANY thanks to the following for donating vehicles for our “Careers on Wheels”: Coast Transit Authority, Mis-

sissippi Power, Gulfport Police Department, ConWay Freights, American Medical Response and the Gulfport

Fire Department. Thanks goes to the awesome job done by our GHS student presenters from our 3 Academic

Academies: CAB (Communication, Art, and Business), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math),

and HHS (Health and Human Sciences). Mrs. Dowling would also like to give a special thank-you to our PTA

for providing lunch for our high school volunteers and snacks for presenters, and to Beth Wilson, all activity

teachers, and our grade-level assistants for their help during the day’s events. We also say “thank you” to

WXXV for their great televised coverage of our event!
