Ecology  and  conservation  of  the  asp  viper

       The   asp   viper   is   one   of   the   most   studied   snakes   in   Europe.   But   this   species   is   particularly   threatened   in  numerous  places  and  different  landscapes.  This  meeting  organised  by  the  karch  would  like  to  group  the  main  researchers  and  experts  working  with   this   species  and  closely   related  ones,  as  well  as  people   involved   in   its  conservation.   Consequently,   this   meeting   will   be   the   perfect   occasion   for   scientists,   researchers   and   all  persons   involved   in   the   conservation   of   asp   vipers   and   other   European   vipers   to  meet   and   exchange   their  experiences.    During   the  meeting,   the   first  day  will   be  dedicated   to   scientific  works   focussed  on   the  biology,   ecology  and  taxonomy  of  the  species;  the  second  day  will  be  devoted  to  the  conservation  of  the  viper  species,  and  to  the  presentation  of  action  plans  and  specific  measures.  An  excursion   in  the  Alps  where  the  asp  viper   is  frequent  will  be  organised  for  the  last  day.    The  official  languages  will  be  French,  German  and  English.  During  the  conferences,  it  is  likely  that  headphones  with  translations  in  another  language  will  be  provided.  

   

Location  The  meeting  will  take  place  in  the  Hôtel  Central  Résidence,  route  du  Belvédère  20,  1854  Leysin.    Registration  fees   for  the  three  days   only  the  weekend  Early  registration  before  1st  May   CHF  120.—   CHF  80.—  Registration  between  1st  May    and  1st  July   CHF  140.—   CHF  100.—  Late  registration  between  1st  July  and  15th  August   CHF  150.—     CHF  110.—      EXTENDED:   The   fees   are   for   the   three   days.   The   registration   for   a   talk   or   a   poster   is   not   possible   after    15  July  2015.      The  registrations  must  be  sent  to  the  address  below;  only  paid  registrations  will  be  considered.      After  your  registration,  a  bill  with  all  the  instructions  to  make  the  payment  will  be  sent  to  you.    The  registration  includes  drinks  during  the  coffee  break  and  lunches  at  midday  for  the  first  two  days,  as  well  as  the  picnic  for  the  excursion.    The  maximal  number  of  participants  is  80  persons.  No  on-­‐site  booking  will  be  considered.
