Born in the town of McAllen, Texas, Perla learned at a very young age to run fiercely in the direction of her dreams. After graduating from high school with fifty-two college hours, she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas A&M University. Shortly after, she founded her first outpatient pediatric clinicat the remarkable age of twenty- one. Over the last 11 years, this clinic has grown into a multimillion-dollar operation and is now one of the largest providers in South Texas.

Not to be confined to a single field, Perla wears many hats in diverse industries, including healthcare, staffing, publishing, and real estate development. In addition, she is passionate about lobbying politics, international travel, youth outreach, prison rehabilitation system, and launched a business model in real estate private equity investments.

In 2014 Perla’s innovative talent for business was honored as she received the Small Business Administration Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Region VI, representing Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
