THE LOGO & THE MARK

The Episcopal Diocese of Dallas’s logo is a reflection of the vision and history of the diocese.

The mark is made-up of and ornate “D“ superimposed with a cross. These combined elements make up a mark specifically tailored to the Dallas Diocese.

These colors were chosen to give the logo a fresh and approachable feel, while preserving the traditional nature of the Diocese.

The serif font, Bodoni Old Face BE, is used for “The Episcopal Diocese of Dallas” text in a sentence case.

TYPOGRAPHY

Bodoni Old Face BE and Trade Gothic Condensed No. 18 are the two typefaces that create The Diocese’s new visual identity. Together, these fonts compliment each other to support the logo and other branding elements.

Trade Gothic, a sans serif, provides enough visual contrast to be paired with Bodoni Old Face, a serif font. This font combination needs to be consistent with all web and print materials.

Remember to set any body copy with comfortable spacing between lines (leading) and paragraphs.
