Our Mission:
We are students Epiphaneia Juarez and Katie Barajas from Granada Hills Charter High
School attempting to create a non-profit organization that provides vitamins and minerals to
indigenous groups around the world. As of now we are starting small by helping an indigenous
group in Chikaxul, Guatemala. Most indigenous groups are incapable of providing their children
with multi-vitamins that are essential for their growth. As a result, children begin to develop
nutrient deficiencies and become extremely vulnerable to diseases. However, children in
indigenous groups are not the only victims, adults and the elderly suffer as well. Our mission is
to provide indigenous groups with multivitamins so they can live long and healthy lives.
Our Plan:
In order to proceed with this project we wish to do the following:
★ Ensure the permission to distribute vitamins and to attain endorsements from various
companies and/or qualified personnel
● Apply for mini-grants to receive the necessary funds to accomplish this project
● Once all collateral is raised we wish to culminate the preliminary part of this project by
going to Guatemala.
● In the future we wish to expand this project to help indigenous groups all over the world:
○ To accomplish this task, we need to:
■ Partner with other international non-profit organizations (UNICEF,
Doctors without Borders, etc.)
■ Spread the word
■ Continue providing vitamins to the indigenous group in Chicaxul,
Guatemala
