PARISH NEWS & EVENTS

PARISH SCHOOL NEWS

PUBLIC MASS ATTENDANCE We will be following the Bishop’s directives for

attendance at public Mass. When you come to Mass,

please be aware of the following expectations and

restrictions:

Please do not come to Mass if you aren’t feeling well

or have a temperature.

We have a limited supply of hand sanitizer, so if you

have your own, feel free to bring it with you.

Everyone (except babies and small toddlers) must

wear a mask from the time you exit your car until you

are seated with your family. You may remove your

mask and keep it off while you are sitting in the body

of church (or the gym). You must then put on your

mask when going to Communion, removing it only

briefly when you receive Holy Communion. You may

then remove it when you have returned to your seat.

Finally, you must put the mask back on when you are

exiting the church (or gym). You will not be allowed to

enter the church (or gym) without a mask.

Everyone needs to maintain the appropriate six-foot

distancing outside and in the church (or gym).

Communion will be administered only in the hand.

FAREWELL FR. BASIL Fr. Basil has received his orders to report for duty to the

U.S. Air Force as a chaplain. He will be leaving the parish

around May 17. If you would like to drop off a card or

greeting for him, there will be a basket in the back of

church. Please pray for him as he begins this new

endeavor serving our country.

PICNIC QUILTS NEEDED At this point, we are planning on the assumption that we

will be having a parish picnic this year. If you have a

new/unused finished quilt to donate to the picnic,

please contact Janet Hirschman at 573-257-1047 or

Annette Borghardt at 573-353-9681. Please let us know

as soon as possible in order for us to be able to

determine if we will have both the quilt wheel and quilt

auction or just one due to limited quilts. All quilts should

be turned in by June 1, if possible. Please provide the

following information for any quilts you turn in : 1)Name

of quilt, 2) color, 3) size, 4)donated by, 5) pieced by,

6)embroidered by, 7) marked by, 8) quilted by or

machine quilted by. Thank you for your time and talent

to support the parish!

JAGUAR UPDATE When school was cancelled in mid-March, we were all

asked to quickly re-shift our priorities, move our learning

and growing to an online format, and day-by-day, we

have tried to channel our eagerness to return to our

normal spring routine. A few of our typical Spring

activities were still able to move forward; they simply

look and feel very different. We are still able to attend

all-school Mass via Facebook each week, our PreK

students still witnessed the life cycle of a caterpillar to a

butterfly and our 8th grade students are still taking

center stage as we plan other ways to celebrate their

achievements and accomplishments. We are eager to

help them experience all the traditions established

throughout the history of St. Martin, but for now we have

planned a beautiful Mass. Please join us on June 16 at

6:00pm on the parish Facebook page to celebrate the

St. Martin Class of 2020. Together, with your help, we

look forward to recognizing this special class and all they

have experienced, accomplished, and learned while

attending St. Martin School.
