plans to perform at Vish-nudas Bhave Natyagru-ha, will need to just give 25 percent of the rental charges.

Speaking with the Newsband correspon-dent NMMC Commis-sioner Abhijit Bangar said, "Plays and arts have an important place in Maharashtra culture and need to be encour-aged and promoted. Dur-ing the lockdown, many theatre producers, direc-tors, artists and all those who are associated with it, faced many prob-lems. The department of Maharashtra Tourist and Culture on the occasion

of Theatre Day on 5th November, 2020 and under ‘Mission Begin Again’ gave permission to open theatres in the state with 50 percent ca-pacity. While perform-ing a play in the theatre with 50 percent capac-ity, it will be difficult for all the parties involved in the play, to recover the cost. The burden can't be put on the au-diences too. Hence, we decided to reduce the rental charges at Vish-nudas Bhave theatre at Vashi by 75 percent. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the large number of people associated with the theatre business."

The offer, it is learnt,

will be valid for 6 months that is till 31st May, 2021 or till the state government revokes the order to run the theatres with just 50 percent ca-pacity or whichever is the earliest.

Earlier on behalf of Jagtik Marathi Natyad-harmi Nirmata Sangh, a well-known actor and also theatre play produc-er, Prashant Damle had met the NMMC Com-missioner Abhijit Ban-gar and had requested him to come up with ini-tiatives that will help all the theatre aficionados.

Hailing the decision of the civic body, Man-isha Kelkar, Bollywood & Marathi actress, pro-ducer & anchor, while

speaking with the News-band correspondent said, "Undoubtedly, all of us are going through difficult phase. Initia-tives like this, will help in boosting the theatre culture. We need to sup-port plays and theatres and other civic bodies too should follow suit."

Meghna Nikade, model and actress and best known for her role in ‘Dear Father’ with Paresh Rawal while speaking with the News-band correspondent said, "It is really a good initiative and it will cer-tainly help in boosting the theatre culture in the city. This move is hailed by all the theatre lovers."

A decomposed body of an unidentified person was found in the backyard of Gokul Dairy on Palm

Beach Road in Vashi on Wednesday afternoon. The cause of death was not immediately clear, but a pes-ticide bottle was found near the body. Therefore, the police is not ruling out the possibility of suicide.

The police said that the deceased was around 50-year-old and was wearing a wrist watch and leather slippers.

The Vashi sub-re-gional transport of-

fice carried out a drive against private buses for carrying materials be-yond permissible limits on Tuesday, 24th Novem-ber, 2020. During the five hours’ drive, the sub-regional transport of-ficer, He-mangini Patil informed that action was taken against 15 long dis-tance private buses.

Private buses ply from Navi Mumbai to Hyderabad, Karna-taka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bangalore, Marathwada, Latur, Konkan, Kolhapur, Sa-tara and other suburbs.

The materials of other companies are illegally placed inside the buses. The materials weigh around three and a half to four tonnes. Due to the weight of this material, there is a high possibil-

ity of an accident”, said motor vehicle inspector, Prashant Shinde, Vashi RTO.

The operation was started against private buses carrying extra materials. Fifteen buses were found to be carry-

ing materials beyond the permissible weight. The materials were unload-ed and handed over to the person who owned them.

There is a high risk of accidents if more than

the capacity of the pri-vate bus is transported. Accidents have also oc-curred. Recently a pri-vate bus had an accident at Sanpada. Considering all these problems, the drive was carried out,” said Hemangini Patil.

Banks should immediately dis-burse loan amount to street ven-

dors through Prime Minister's Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi or PM SVANidhi scheme and take immediate steps to provide benefits to the pending applicants, said the Additional Com-missioner of the Navi Mumbai Mu-nicipal Corporation (NMMC), Sanjay Kakade. He was speaking during a meeting held with the representatives of the banks. Deputy Commissioner of Social Development Kranti Patil was present on this occasion.

As the lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19 has adversely affected the livelihoods of street vendors, Rs 10,000 crore of working capital loans are being made available through banks through the Prime Minister's Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme. To help the street vendors resume their business, the NMMC is working in coordination with the banks, to ensure that as many street vendors as possible, get the ben-efit of this scheme. Municipal Com-

missioner Abhijit Bangar has paid spe-cial attention to ensure that the street vendors do not face any difficulty in getting this amount.

The scheme is underway in 45 banks in NMMC’s area and out of 14 thousand 665 applications filed on the portal, 6503 applications are being processed through banks. The remain-ing 4019 applications have not been processed, thus, the Municipal Com-missioner called a special meeting of all the banks on Wednesday to expe-dite the work.

During the meeting, the Additional Commissioner suggested, “The banks should organize special camps on Fri-days, Saturdays and Sundays -3 days a week with a view to take prompt action and to ensure that all the ap-plicants get the benefit of this scheme. He also instructed to give information about these camps to the civic body.

State Bank of India was also ad-vised to expedite the process as the number of beneficiaries was high.

Representatives of the banks, who were present at the meeting, respond-ed positively.

The Navi Mumbai traffic department

has not coordinated with any public and private organization to introduce ‘No Helmet, No Entry’ policy over the past three months as they are concentrating on the other special drives.

So far, around 130 organizations have ad-opted this policy across Navi Mumbai. Accord-ing to the policy, if any employee of an orga-nization, who comes to work on a bike and does not wear a helmet, he or she is not allowed to en-ter the office compound. Such employees are sent back home right at the main entrance and they are marked absent for that day.

If an organization agrees to adopt this pol-icy, the traffic officials visit their campus and explain the importance of wearing helmets. The policy is implemented

in that campus from the very next day.

Arun Patil, assistant commissioner of police (traffic) said, “We are now going slow on this drive as we are focusing on other special drives. We are now conducting drives against the viola-tions of different traffic rules almost every week. We are also concentrat-

ing on a few roads that have seen frequent accidents. Secondly, because of pandemic, several organizations are shut now. There-fore, we are not coor-dinating with anyone to introduce this policy. We will restart it next

year, when the scenario will be better.”

Among the organi-zations that have imple-mented this policy so far are: Cidco and NMMC headquarters, police headquarters, Konkan Bhavan, Raigad Bhavan, police commissioner’s office, PCMC office among others.

The fans of Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) miss him

terribly and whenever anyone goes against the actor, they express their displeasure. Recently Ran-veer Singh is seen mocking SSR in a Bingo Advertise-ment. This has not gone down well with the fans of SSR, who have started a trend #RanveerIsJoker on twitter.

The advertisement fea-

turing Ranveer Singh shows that he is talking about sci-ence and space with the guests at his home. SSR was a science aficionado and the reason his fans think that it is an insult to the soul of SSR.

Suraj Ra-jput, one of

the fans of Sushant Singh Rajput from Ulwe Sector-17 said, "I support the

trend #RanveerIsJoker on twitter. I feel that Ran-veer Singh is trying to gain cheap publicity by mock-ing the late actor long af-ter his death, through the commercial. I used to like Ranveer Singh after seeing Padmavat but now I do not have the same feeling be-cause of such attitude."

One of the twitter users tweeted, "Sushant never sold integrity to KARAN

JOHAR. Proud Man. #Ran-veerIsJoker,"

The other twitter user supporting the trend #Ran-veerIsJoker wrote, " #ran-veerisjoker This Joker will never forget what he and his gang planned to take away the movies from our be-loved Sushant. We will as-sure you Bollywood that we make you feel worse than ever. you will try but you all won't forget this smile."

At the Sangit Kala Kendra Awards virtual function, Mrs. Rajashree Birla, President,

Sangit Kala Kendra, announced the name of renowned actor Naseeruddin Shah, as the recipient of the coveted Aditya Vikram Birla Kalshikhar Puraskar. Alongside, two emerg-ing stars, in the firmament of theatrics - Neel Choudhary and Irawati Karnik were awarded the Aditya Vikram Birla Kalakiran Puraskars. This distinguished gathering was graced by Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Mrs. Neerja Birla and the extended Aditya Birla family.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Ra-jashree Birla, President, Sangit Kala Kendra, stated, "Today we rejoice, the spirit of our Founder President, Shri Aditya Vikram Birla and his love for the performing arts. As you know, the Sangit Kala Kendra’s, ‘Aditya Vikram Birla, Kalashikhar Puraskar’ and the ‘Kalakiran Puraskars’, were instituted in 1996, as a befitting memorial to, Adityaji and through it, cre-ate a significant pathway, for a singular recognition, of exemplary talent, in this domain".

She further added, "Theatre is the central theme, for this year’s awards. A few of you may recount, Adityaji’s love of the theatre and his donning the mantle of an actor in the two plays “Pragat Bhaye Nandlala’ and ‘Kaya Kalp’ under the banner of Sangit Kala Kendra. At a personal level, both Adityaji and I loved watching plays and films. A lot of our Sunday evenings were thus spent. Among our favourite actors was Mr Naseeruddin Shah, whom we watched in theatres and on screen."

Mrs. Rajashree Birla, President, Sangit Kala Kendra, was all praise for Naseeruddin Shah's illustrious career and averred, "Mr. Naseeruddin Shah, upon whom, the Kala-shikhar Puraskar has been conferred is an iconic actor. His breakthrough roles have hit both the screen and the theatre, for now over

40 years. The films and the theatre roles still keep rolling and we see him do the most challenging roles with amazing ease, getting into the skin of the character.”

She fondly recalled late Pandit Jasraj and observed, "On this occasion, I would like to say a few words, as a tribute to Pandit Jas-raji, who was very close to our family. and the Sangit Kala Kendra. Pandit Jasraji’s im-age looms large in the global world of clas-sical, mystical music. In this field, he was an ambassador par excellence, unparalleled. So, it is very apt that the ‘Indian Astronauti-cal Union’ has named a planet after Pandit Jasrajji, for a life dedicated to music, as you saw in the video. With this, Panditji is the first global Indian, to join a galaxy of immor-tal composers, such as Mozart, Beethoven and Pavarotti. We are immensely proud of

Panditji".Mrs Birla congratu-

lated emerging stars Neel Choudhary and Irawati Karnik. With great joy, she further added, "Ever so of-ten, I meet talent from vari-ous fields, be it dance, or classical music, or paint-ing, in fact, any of the per-

forming arts. And they admit that to get the ‘Aditya Birla Kala Kiran Puraskar’ would be a dream come true. It fills us with joy and pride. I am sure you feel, so too. We owe all of this to having a stellar panel of judges, year in and year out. Their contribution to the process of evaluation has been invalu-able. They lend honesty and heft. This year our distinguished panel of judges comprised of Nadira Babbar, Sanjana Kapoor, Akash Khurana, Sunil Shanbagh and Chhaya Gan-guly"

She concluded by thanking the Judges and the Sangit Kala members. Shaan and Neeti Mohan excelled in their musical perfor-mances. It was truly an evening of celebra-tion, joyous engagement and great enrich-ment.

Naseeruddin Shah honoured with the Aditya Vikram Birla Kalashikhar Puraskar It is said that laughter is the best

medicine for good health, all those people who live long are the ones who have had a cheer-ful, happy and peaceful existence. Hence, it is essential to perceive life with an optimistic perspective, otherwise one fails to understand the significance of life and exis-tence.

In this article I would like to throw some light on the comic or the humorous aspects of performing arts, namely music, dance and drama. Since childhood, I have been connected with these three fields, and I must admit my inspiration is and always will be my mother Savithri Nair, who was a spontaneous actress, soulful singer and a graceful dancer as well. Whenever any guest would visit our residence, after the person leaves, my mother would mimic and reproduce the act as to how the person would talk, move or behave. It was hilarious to watch her do it, as she would reproduce the mannerism of the person with a comic touch that left a lasting impression on us. It would not be out of place to mention here that as a young girl she ran away from home to join the world of cinema, somebody recognised her on the railway station and she was brought home. Those days it was against social norms for girls to venture out. Nevertheless, later she acted in several plays in Malayalam and her master-piece mono-act performance was Malabar Moideen Mappila (Malabar Muslim Man) in which she would attire as a Muslim man and enact the episode as to how the poor man had to borrow everything from his friend in order to get married, she would sing, dance and enact the sequence of Moideen, his friend Abdulla and the would be wife Ayesa. she won the first prize when she enacted this mono-act in a fancy dress competition amidst 100 participants. Incidentally, during the act she went and asked for 'bidis' from

the judges and they were shocked and amused with her extempore attitude.

I would like to dedicate this article to my wonderful mother and to all the mothers in the world for their selfless attitude in raising and nurturing children in this dif-ficult phase of life. I am reminded of an interesting and moving in-

cident in the life of our great former presi-dent of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Hailing from a poor south Indian family, young Ab-dul was quite fond of chapatis which was rarely prepared, Abdul enjoyed eating the chapatis and asked for one more, without

any hesitation his mother of-fered one more chapati. After dinner Abdul’s elder brother asked him why did you ask for one more chapati as that was the last one to be con-sumed by his mother. Abdul was completely shattered by this experience and the next day he decided that he must contribute in order to improve the economic situation of the family and started selling newspapers to make both ends meet. Rest is history.

My father was a Military officer. He would tell me, "I would shoot you, if you dance" as he felt that danc-ing was a feminine occupa-tion. My mother was my

first dance teacher. At the age of 10, she put me on to the stage. I per-formed as Lord Shiva in "Shiva Stuti" with young girls at Air Force Station, Sulur, near Coimbatore. I was a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Colaba, Navy Nagar. Once while participating in the school dance competi-tion, I was performing Tandava when the Jata (hair lock) almost fell off, infact it was hanging on my shoulder. I was so involved in the dance that I continued dancing and I won the prize. This spectacle was hilari-ous for children as they had a hearty laugh. The judges praised my passion and attitude. My mother sang and the harmonium was played by my music teacher Dipika Shome.

After choosing Joe Biden over Donald Trump, the Americans have most likely changed the course of the worldwide as well as the Indian economy. For an economy such as India, which needs a regular supply of cheap crude oil to grow fast, a nor-malisation of US-Iran relationship (and lifting of sanctions) would be more helpful. On China, too, while the US uncertain-ties are unlikely to be fewer even under a Biden government, it is more likely that a Biden government will help India against China, instead of clubbing the two together. The US is one of those extraordinary big countries with which India relishes a trade surplus. For example, India exports more goods to the US than what it imports from it.

Yes, US elections do have many effects on India. If the party that supports India wins, it helps many Indian resources to flourish. For example, the goods that are exported in US will be more prioritized, and if we develop a proper policy, Indian goods will be exported at low tax in US. Secondly, as US plays a huge role in UN's donations as their GDP is better, so if US and Indian relations are well enough after the election's deci-sion, our probability to get in Security Council increases. Along with this, if the US party is supportive towards Indians, it is beneficial to us in Military region. So, in many ways US elections float a huge impact on India.

Rhugved Chaudhari

Well I think impact of USA election will be positive here in India as the newly elected President, Joe Biden is good human being who thinks for the welfare of American citizens. After this elec-tion there will be positive changes in USA’s economy and ulti-mately this will have its effect on Indian economy too in terms of foreign investment etc. Many American citizens were fed up with Trump’s policies and his behaviour. So U.S citizens were seeking changes. So they made it happen through power of

vote. So I hope such changes will happen in India in the upcoming time. Pratik yadav, President, Parivartan Foundation

An injury time penalty conversion by Adam Le Fondre saw Mumbai

City FC overcome their arch rivals and hosts FC Goa by a solitary goal at the Fatorda Stadium on Wednesday and in the pro-cess ensured the islanders reg-ister their first win of Hero Indian Su-per League (Hero ISL) 2020-21.

Mumbai’s Head Coach Sergio Lobera, who made a three changes to the side that lost to North-East United, saw Navi Mumbai based young defend-er Amey Ranawde making his debut for the newly adopted team. After an even opening 15 minutes which saw neither side manage to create any clear-cut op-portunities, it was the hosts that had the first shot on target midway in to the first half by Edu Bedia off a direct free kick that however was negated Mumbai custodian Amrinder Singh. Though the islanders had a man-advantage for the better part of the match latter after Re-deem Tlang was handed a first-half red card in the face of a high and lunging tackle in the 40th minute of the match er-ratic passing, poor finishes and dogged defending from the hosts Goa pre-vented them capitalizing of the same.

With less than a quarter to go, Man-dar Rao Dessai squandered a great chance against his ex-club inside the six yard box. Mumbai’s A – League import Fondre who had constantly troubled the Goa's left flank in the first

half had close opportunity in the sec-ond half with a minute to the fulltime, however Goa’s custodian Mohammed Nawaz was equal to the task. Persis-tence finally paid as the islanders won a penalty in the 5th minute of stoppage time after Lenny Rodrigues handled Bi-pin Singh's header inside the box which

Le Fondre converted from the spotLobera commenting on his team

performance said he was proud of his team’s performance over his former side FC Goa, which had won four of their five outings previously against Mumbai City. “The most important thing is to create chances. I am very proud of my players because I think the substitutions worked and the attitude of the players coming off the bench was amazing. In the end it was the goal that mattered the most that gave us these three points” added Span-iard Lobera after Mumbai FC had lost their opening match in a similar situation (10-man and penalty) against NorthEast United FC.

With the demise of Argentin-ian legend Diego Maradona,

Football lost one of its most shining stars. Maradona was captain when Argentina won the 1986 World Cup, scoring the famous 'Hand of God' goal against England in the quarter-finals.

He scored 34 goals in 91 appear-ances for Argentina, representing them in four World Cups.

One of the most gifted soccer players in history, Maradona, who in an online poll in 2000 organised by FIFA, football’s world governing body, emerged as the Player of the Century, had played for Barcelona and Napoli during his club career. He won the 1989 Europa League with Napoli, 1983 Copa del Rey with FC Barcelona. In the Italian league, he lifted the league and cup double in 1987 with Napoli. He helped Napoli win another league title in 1990.

During the second half of his career, Maradona struggled with co-caine addiction and was banned for

15 months after testing positive for the drug in 1991.

He retired from professional foot-ball in 1997, on his 37th birthday, during his second stint at Argentine giants Boca Juniors

For millions, football began with him and with him has ended an era. In the times before the Messi-Ronal-do era, there were only two football giants from South America that the world discussed of: Pele of Brazil and Diego Maradona of Argentina. Hailing from a humble background, Football was Maradona’s escape from poverty. He debuted for Argen-tina at the age of 16 in 1977. After the 1982 World Cup, he was snatched by Barcelona from Buenos Aires team Boca Juniors. Later he moved to Na-poli of Naples, which laid the foun-dation of his international acclaim.

A sporting icon, Maradona will always be remembered as a player who embodied youth, speed and life and would continue to inspire all the youths.

CK Bhaskar, one of the early-day doyens of Kerala cricket, died in Houston, US. He was 79. One of the quickest bowlers of the 1960s in the domestic circuit, he represented both Kerala and Tamil Nadu in Ranji Trophy for a total of 42 first-class matches. He took 106 wickets at a respectable average of 29 with five five-wicket hauls. Bhaskar was part of the India team, cap-tained by Tiger Pataudi, which played against Ceylon in an unofficial Test in 1964.

Bhaskar was a few years senior to me. I used to open the batting for my college and CK Bhaskar

used to open the bowl-ing for Madras Medi-cal College in 1967. He was a very quick bowler with a perfect action. He tried to make get me out with subtle swing, but I stood firm for nearly two hours and after a drink break, he thought of get-ting me out with an off spinner. A full toss from him was hit back to the

bowler and my stubborn innings came to an end. He was an adventurous and active person and if I am right, as recently as a few months back, he did parachute jumping and all at an old age.

A well-travelled dermatologist, Bhaskar moved to the UK after

his playing days and later settled in the US where he forged deep bonds with athletes, none bigger than Carl Lewis through his foray into marathons. In fact, he wanted to bring Lewis to India for a project titled ‘Mission Gold for India’ but it did not take off.

Bhaskar was believed to have travelled to all Olympic Games from the 1972 Munich edition. He was very passionate about all sports and did not miss a single Olym-pics after he first attended one. He had very ambi-tious ideas to develop In-dia’s athletics. He had an understanding with Carl Lewis for a mission and that failed to take off.

Bhaskar is survived by his wife Chandini and daughters Reeta, Sania and Sonia.

The demand for Tulsi plants in nurseries increased

on the backdrop of Tulsi vivah pujan. The in-crease in demand pushed up the price of humble holi tulsi, which was sold at twice the price.

After the vivah of Tulsi, the auspicious wedding season begin. Tulsi vivah started on Thursday and will end on Monday.

In the nursery near Thane Belapur Road in Navi Mumbai, various basil

plants like black, white and kapuri are kept for sale. All these varieties

of Tulsi are ordered in the nursery from West-ern Maharashtra. Nurs-ery owner Suresh Naik said that there is a good demand for Tulsi plants every year on Diwali. The price of tusli does not generally increase. However, due to the de-mand for the plant, prices

went high. Tulsi is priced according to its size. Tulsi is priced from Rs 20 to Rs 200.

Dasharath Bhandari, ward officer of PCMC said, “On Wednesday, we demolished the shan-ties near Gharkul Com-plex and some interior areas of the town. While some of these people were staying here for a long time, some others came before the lock-down. But all of them had developed shanties by illegally occupying

land.”“While demolishing

slums, the occupants generally stage protests. At times, they even attack the civic officials. There-fore, we took the help of local police to avoid the possible law and or-der problems,” he said.

“We have come to know that there are quite a few other places in the town, where people are still residing in illegal slums. All those slums will be demolished soon,” he further said.

According to the lo-cal residents, there are

still a huge number of shanties near Owe vil-lage and at sector 34 and 35.

Kiran Patil, a local activist from Kharghar said, “The administra-tion has no idea about the identity and back-ground of these people who are staying in those slums. Also these people are illegally occupying the land. Their existence in the town is a threat to the safety of the lo-cal residents. Therefore, the PCMC should clear those slums as early as possible.”

The Urban Haat owned by the City and Industrial Development Cor-

poration (Cidco) at CBD Belapur, has so far hosted two exhibitions of hand-looms and handicrafts after the lock-down. On Thursday, they announced that they will host five more similar exhibitions in this financial year.

KVS Nair, manager of Urban Haat said, “Pres-ently, an exhibition called Shilp Mela is going on at our centre and the lo-cal products of different states such as Maharash-tra, Goa, Gujarat, Raj-asthan, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Punjab are available here. This Mela will be over on November 30.”

“We have been receiving request letters from the government of India (GOI) for hosting a few more such ex-hibitions after this. However, in view of the increase of Covid-19 cases, we will wait for a few days before hosting

the next exhibition. If the situation is under control, we will host the next ex-hibition in the second half of Decem-ber. After that four other exhibitions of handlooms and handicrafts will be hosted till March-end,” he said.

According to Nair, the ongoing Shilp Mela has received a very good response from the local residents. A

huge number of residents are coming and purchas-ing things at the Mela.

“Over 100 residents are visiting this place on the weekdays. The num-ber goes up to 250 on the weekends. Due to the pan-

demic, we did not expect this kind of response from the residents,” he said.

“We also have three butterfly gar-dens inside Urban Haat. This is the season when more and more butterflies can be spotted in those gardens. Since the gardens are spacious, the visitors can enjoy themselves without violat-ing the norms of social distancing,” he further said.

Like in other parts of the country, there

has been a surge in posi-tive Covid 19 cases in the satellite city too post Diwali. To be able to tackle the surge, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Cor-poration (NMMC) has set up a special griev-ance redressal room on the ground floor of the corporation’s headquar-ters at Belapur.

On Tuesday, Novem-ber 24, 121 cases of nov-el coronavirus were re-corded in Navi Mumbai whereas on Wednesday, November 25, 180 posi-tive cases were recorded in the satellite city.

On 24th Novem-ber, three patients suc-cumbed to the deadly virus, while on 25th No-vember five people lost their lives to coronavi-rus.

Belapur with 36 co-rona positive patients on Tuesday 24th Novem-ber, 2020 and with 41 patients on Wednesday 25th November, 2020

was highest in the tally of corona positive cases, while Digha with just two on Tuesday and 4 on Wednesday recorded the least number of corona

positive cases. The NMMC juris-

diction, in just 48 hours, saw a complete recovery of 200 people. 45,072 people have so far com-pletely recovered from coronavirus and the re-covery rate stands at 95 per cent. With five more deaths on Wednesday, the death tally in the sat-ellite city touched 969, while the active cases registered on Wednes-day was 1509.

Speaking with the Newsband correspon-dent Sanjay Kakde, Ad-

ditional Commissioner, NMMC informed, "Knowing that in the coming days there will be a surge in the number of coronavirus cases in

the satellite city and also seeing the sharp increase in the number of cases in the state post Diwali, the civic body has set up a special grievance redres-sal room on the ground floor of the corpora-tion’s headquarters. This will help us in address-ing and tackling any situation arising during the second wave of cor-onavirus, faster. Anyone who needs help or sup-port can contact the spe-cial grievance redressal room on 022-27567389 or 7208490010."
