5. Mr. Salman Ahmad Regd. No. 2000-ag-1176 has successfully defended his PhD thesis on 23-04-2013. The title of his thesis was “A disease predictive model for the management of chickpea blight (Ascochyta rabiei)” Pass. (Lab).

6. Mr. Zahoor Ahmad, Regd. No. 2005-ag-1658 a PhD student, Department of Crop Physiology, has successfully defended his PhD Synopsis on 19-04-2013. The title of his synopsis is “Maize (Zea mays L.) responses to supplemental foliar applied phosphorus under drought stress”.

AUCTION NOTICE 1. An open auction will be conducted at Institute of Horticultural Sciences, UAF for auction of Fruits according to the schedule noted against

each as available on site:- (i) Various Fruit at Fruit Plant Nursery on 06-05-2013 at 10:00 am @ Rs. 5000/- (ii) Various Fruits at Experimental Fruit Orchard Sq. No. 32 on 06-05-2013 at 10:30 am @ Rs. 10,000/- (iii) Various Fruits at Experimental Fruit Orchard Sq. No. 09 on 06-05-2013 at 11:00 am @ Rs. 15,000/- (iv) Various Fruits at Big & Small Exp. Fruit Garden at PARS on 07-05-2013 at 10:00 am @ Rs. 50,000/-. The Fruits can be seen at site (Fruit Plant Nursery, Experimental Fruit Orchard, Big & Small Exp. In case of any dispute between the bidder and UAF, the decision of the Vice Chancellor as arbitrator shall be final and not be challenged in any Court of Law.

2. The following animals (i) Sahiwal Cow No. 762 and (ii) Sahiwal FYS No. 930 will be sold by open auction on 03-05-2013 at 10:00 am at Livestock Management Farms (Directorate of Farms) UAF. The persons who are interested, may come & bid. One third of the total price will be recovered on the spot and the remaining amount will be received after the approval of competent authority. The price will be realized at the spot. Under Section 236A of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 Advance Income Tax @ 5% of the Sale Price of the Property/Goods being auctioned will be collected from the successful bidder. The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject the highest bid without assigning any reason.

3. Different un-serviceable store/computer Lab. Items will be sold through Auction Committee at the Department of Math. & Stat. UAF on May 17, 2013 at 09:00 am under Section 236-A of Income advance tax @ 5% will be collected from successful bidder and will be deposited in the Government Treasury through Income Tax Challan.
