Dear Members and Readers,
AVOPA is doing yeoman service in the field of education and culture. Service is a great healer. As we forget ourselves in serving others unselfishly, we too will grow and expand our consciousness in a mass wonderful way. There is a subtle joy we get when we go out of our way to help someone who may not even find out who has the cause of their new found comfort. When we do this life begins to have a new meaning and purpose. When we encourage others, and open our hearts and ear the sympathies and listen to others, we are able to pay off a little of the debt we owe for inhabitation this earth. Today there is an urgent need for light bearers to carry forth the flame of sympathy, compassion and caring.
I wish to share some of my thoughts: Thoughts, ideas and activities should be positive in order to illuminate one's own life, as well as that of others. Words that are spoken should be sweet, gentle and true. Light up our lives with the spirit of gratitude. Cultivate the will to forgive. Service lights up our life like nothing else.
It was a splendid occasions to hear three stalwarts of our community CA. D.S. Vivek, Sri Vijay Rajesh and Sri M. Mahaballeshwara Gupta on central budget 2015-16. The members attended the monthly lecture programme were happy to raise their queries and lecturers ably answered all of them. I look forward to arrange such professional programmes in the near future.
Our members who have visited Dubai and Singapore returned safely after spending their tour joyously.
Many donors have contributed generally for the hostel fund in response to our clarion call providing hostel facilities to the needy poor students of our community. I sincerely thank all of them and make a request to all our Philanthropic members and donors to follow suit.
I seek the co-operation of all the members of their time, money for the cause of AVOPA

On 8th March 2015, at AVOPA office, a highly professional discussion was carried out on thesubject “Analysis of Central Budget 2015-2016”. Three eminent personalities of our Community Sri M.Mahabaleshwara Gupta, Former principal of Seshadripuram college and Professor of Economics, Sri D.S Vivek, Charted Accountant of a
renowned Charted Accountant firm M/S Suresh & Co. and Sri K. Vijay Rajesh, Advocate and Tax consultant, participated as main speakers. Each one of them dealt the subject in their own highly proficient way to present the subject. The members presented in full capacity of the hall were delighted to hear the presentation and participated in full strength by asking all the queries both personal and academic . The speakers ably
responded and answered all the queries . All the speakers were felicitated by the president of A V O P A C h a r i t a b l e T r u s t Sri P C Balaraj and other office bearers. The participants sought many such useful programmes in future. Sri Ashoka TN, Organising Secretary proposed vote of thanks.

“ Central Budget 2015-2016 ”
Laugh and Live, Yes it is true we can live longer if we laugh. It was really a hot summer day on 22nd Feb 2015. Everybody was very enthusiastic and seriously waiting for the program to kick off on time. The speaker Sri. K.C Padmesh walked in before the scheduled time and checked the gadgets and was ready to make us laugh. Sri. K.C. Padmesh working in HCL and founder of Believe2Achieve HANDWRITING ACADEMY, he is a motivator, life coach, Handwriting analyst certified and recognized by many clients. The Program started with 15 minutes of a theoretic presentation of Laughter yoga. The presentation was very interactive and there were lot of quizzing in between, most of the participants were interactive and answered all the questions and got goodies as chocolates. It was not just a theoretical class of 15 minutes; Sri. Padmesh suddenly converted the entire presentation to a practical session with unlimited and natural laughter. All the fifty plus members enjoyed a lot and naturally created a laughter environment throughout the session. The chairs were removed and a human chain was formed and lot of energetic laughter vibrations was created by
demo and practice session. Once the practice session was over Sri. Padmesh took a transforming laughter meditation, which was a brand new concept for many. Everybody laughed in such a way that they got the tears and enjoyed a lot. Sri. K.C. Padmesh got the full mark from the beneficiaries. As per the AVOPA practices Sri. K.C. Padmesh was honored.

Dear Readers,
Please accept my Greetings to you and your family. I have great pleasure to inform that there has been good response to our appeal for donations to Charitable Trust.
Sri K.Jayaprakash, past Treasurer of AVOPA, has come forward to contribute Rs.1 lakh towards Hostel Fund, which he will create an endowment of Rs. Three lakhs in the days to come. Similarly Sri Chandrashekar R has contributed Rs.1 lakh. Sri Badari Narayana Babu, one of our Trustee has donated Rs.30,000/-. Sri CA I.S. Prasad a popular personality in Karnataka has also contributed Rs.30,000/-. Sri B.R.Aswatharam a legal luminary, former Trustee of our AVOPA Charitable Trust has sent a cheque for Rs.20,000/- towards Book Bank. Few other contributions are also received. I on behalf of the Board of Trustees profusely thank for their generous contribution.
Our members who toured Colombo and Dubai from 18th Jan 2015 to 26th Jan 2015 and Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand from 23rd Feb to 5th March 2015 have returned safely with enchanting memories. There has been requests from some more members to conduct similar tours, as they could not get a chance. One more Batch is flying from 7th April, we wish them Bon voyage.
Now that new Academic year is fast approaching, there is need to expand the activities of AVOPA BOOK BANK so that more number of deserving students be helped. Donations in multiples of Rs.10,000/- are invited from Members and Donor Members, which needless to say are exempted from payment of Income Tax under Section 80G
AVOPA HOSTEL needs a place. Presently, it is in Chamarajpet. Sri M.L. Gopala Krishna our immediate past General Secretary has provided the premises free of Rent, till alternative arrangements are made. Any philonthrophists can provide, funds for purchase of a building, or a House or a Floor, or rights to Build a Floor, Philonthrophists will be recognised appropriately on a permanent basis. His or her name will remain IMMORTAL.
