Boston Red Sox ReportBy Chris

The Boston Red Sox finished the first half of the 2015 season with a 42-47 record and in last place in the AL East. The starting rotation that included Clay Buchholz, Rick Porcello, Wade Miley, Joe Kelly, and Justin Masterson, began the year well with some solid performances, but then started to stumble as the season went on. Without a true ace in their rotation, pitching was a huge factor in Boston’s difficulties. However, the pitching should not get the full blame. When Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez joined the team in the winter, many saw them two and David Ortiz as a triple threat to opposing pitchers, but that never materialized. Ramirez has been sidelined by injuries and Ortiz and Sandoval have not shown what they are capable of yet. But things are looking up for the Sox because of their much improved play as of late. Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts have both shown that they can play in the MLB and Brock Holt has established himself as the best utility player in the league. And with the trade deadline approaching, the Red Sox can climb right back into playoff contention.

Mockumentary is a MUST SEEBy Leslie Marsh/One of the trainers

Hey CRCAP!!!!! Today is festival day and you all must come see Mockumentary!! It’s playing in the morning at the tennis courts and is supposed to be phenomenal! It is about Water (sea) World trying to rebrand themselves and get rid of all the rumors about their park. As the employees try their best to cover up the multiple signs of animal abuse and worker abuse at the park, the Republican national convention files in, making a whole scene of their own. The activists plot and plan to get the park to stop running, and the CEO just can’t figure out how to deal with the disaster. The malnourished Brits won’t stop hating the the park until one of them gets involved with the activists and they all turn on each other. The nightmare continues when the beta fish gets too wild, and the well known Water World falls apart. But then… COME SEE IT AT THE TENNIS COURTS TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!

End of Session 1 Mini-ArticleBy Nina Kahn

It’s almost the end of the session *sniffles*. It’s been really fun ranting about ‘Veronica Mars’, obsessing over ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’, and being meme trash for the past few weeks. Next session I’ll probably be starting my ‘Nina Rants’ articles again, so if you’re there for Session 2, be prepared. Be every prepared *evil laughter and thunderclaps*. Anyway, this session has been one of my favorites in terms of what my strange brain decided to print. I hope you guys have a rad rest of the summer!

(also, watch Veronica Mars. You will not regret it)

The Adventures of the Marshmallow and the Alligator, Part 1By Orly Shiner

Once upon a time… wait, hold up, this isn’t a fairy tale. One day, Marshmallow was sitting out in the school yard waiting for his babysitter to pick him up. He finally came to the conclusion that he was supposed to walk home. So he walked and walked until he reached a small cottage and he realized he was lost. he decided to knock on the door knock knock knock. The door split in two and a swamp appeared. There stood an alligator. Surprisingly, Marshmallow did not run away. the alligator got closer and closer and… SWALLOWED HIM! 500 YEARS LATER “ I don’t feel so well” and out came the turtle. Wait, the turtle? Oh, did I forget to mention Marshmallow is really a turtle but his name is Marshmallow. Read Part Two next session.

Questions for AnswersBy Kitten Lover

Hi CRCAP! It’s Kitten Lover with some bad news! Sadly, my advice column poster is gone! It has been taken down. By who, I do not know. Where it has gone, I do not know. The overall purpose of this article is that I am sorry. If you had a question for me, you no longer can ask it. I apologize because I did write an issue that said to ask a question ASAP because it was almost the end of camp, but now, my advice column is over. This is the last issue of Questions for Answers for this summer. I am not coming second session but I am coming next year . Once again I apologize and have a wonderful rest of summer. Hopefully I can continue the advice column next summer.

Yours Truly, Kitten Lover. Meow!

The end of camp-list of what I didBy Leslie Marsh

It’s crazy! First session has come to an end, and I am so sad:(. But I’m trying to think about all the happy things that happened this session to make the end of camp less sad. So here’s a list of all the things I did this session that were happy!

● Made tons of new friends● Ate a churro for the first time● Heard of a churro for the first time● Fell in love with churros● Got published in the oldest continuously

running newspaper in Dover● Hugged Teresa ● Got my handstand roll● Hugged Teresa again● And again ● And again● Wrote poetry about pigs in Pig Latin● Made a ginormous cupcake● Made adorable clothes out of non-

adorable clothes● Took selfies● Learned how to do a double cartwheel

with Mahalia● Interviewed Ella, the guest dancer● Laughed when Angelique spoke her

famous line, “Angelique and sass don’t mix”

● Made memories● Went swimming in a refreshing pool● Had fun● Played Torie the counselor in a movie

for a class I’m not inI thought making that list would make the end of camp a little less sad, but it made it more sad. I’m gonna miss it. I can’t wait to get my yearbook, though!

Class AdBy Eleanor Berkenblit

On Tuesday, July 21, Contemporary Dance, first period, performed in Foster Hall at the Noontime show. Our dance was amazing and creepy. Everyone loved it, and Bekah herself said that she never had a dance received so well. So if you liked it too, come see us in the Dance Concert! We will be first so get there early. The dance will be even better with costumes and make-up! Enjoy Festival Day!

The End Of CampBy Sarah Parrish

The end of camp has come so quick this year. This is my fifth year at CRCAP and definitely felt the shortest. I’m so sad to be leaving but I’m looking forward to my start my sixth year of camp next year. It was such a great year because I absolutely loved all of my classes and counselors. I met so many new people and my best friend was at camp this year for her first time. She loved it! I really loved my first period class Power Tumbling because I improved a lot on gymnastics and I hope I can do this class again next year again. I also really loved my second period Poetry Plus because I learned a lot about poetry. My third period class was Fairytale Mystery Makeover and it was so much fun, I loved playing all of the fun games like whoosh. I also really liked performing in the Noon Time Show and watching other people acts and my friends perform. Then my fifth period class was Daily Double, it was my first year I’ve taken this class and I loved. I had an advice column and got lots of questions. My sixth period class was Girl Band and I loved all of the songs that we did. I couldn’t pick a favorite because they were all amazing. I am so glad that Festival Day is here. I’m sad that camp is over but I love Festival Day because I love performing what I love. I am most excited to perform my Power Tumbling routine with my friend Julia to the Song Bad Blood. I am so excited because we worked really hard on it and there are a lot of new stunts that we learned like back tucks! I am also really excited to perform in Girl Band because I loved the class and I’ve never performed on the tent stage. Dear new campers, Festival Day is so much fun. Even if you are not performing for any classes it still so much fun the show your parents around, and see other people perform. At the info booth you can get a book called the Best of the Daily Double. Each person in Daily Double gets to pick two of their favorite articles that they have written throughout the session to put them in the Best of the Daily Double. Have fun at Festival Day!

The End of Summer CampBy Michelle Moon

Hey CRCAP! This was a great year ( I think we can all agree on that!) and it is time to say goodbye to all the friends you’ve made and all the CITs, classes, counselors, groupie leaders and more. My friends and I have had so much fun and so have I and I would recommend this to absolutely anyone. My absolute favorite class was Fairytale Mystery Makeovers and in that class we got to play games and we practiced lines and in that class, Natalie and Nellie taught it. To be truthful though, I loved all my classes and I can’t wait for next year when I come back for my 2nd year here because this was my first year and I was scared when I come at 9:00 am because I didn’t know what to expect. Now I understand that I shouldn’t be scared because this was the best camp ever! I am so happy that I got hear about this camp because I feel like this was the camp to be. If newcomers come next year I wouldn’t be surprised because everyone in the whole wide world should know about this camp because it is the best. Also, everyone should love this place and when I am older I will cherish the most special moments at this camp. I would also like to say that by the end of the session, whoever came to this camp has even more talents than they had when they first came.

Last Day Of CampBy Leah Koritz

This session has been one of my favorites of all the years I’ve been here. The Ice Cream Social was better than ever, and all of my classes were great! It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a whole month since camp started! I remember the first day of this session. I also remember being so excited because I’d been counting down the days until camp started, and now the month is almost over! I’m really sad that this session has ended, but, I’m already looking forward to next year (and next session)!

Best dayBy Patricia Arens

To be honest, every day I’ve spent here was amazing! In my opinion, CRCAP is the best place where you can have a lot of fun and learn something helpful at the same time (2 in 1). I’m a bit sad that this session is almost over, but I’m also looking forward to coming here again.

Every day is different; we don’t do the same things all the time and that’s fun! You never know what to expect, you always have a nice surprise when counselors announce the programme for every hour. I remember the times when we had hot dogs at lunch, different kind of salads, Italian ice cream, chocolate milkshakes… or when I finished with basketball (period 6; I was all sweaty) and I was so happy that I saw my article in the Daily Double (this happened most of the days, but it was the best part).

The Noon Time Shows were all wonderful. Every child showed to the others what he had learned, what he was proud of. At camp, there is a huge amount of activities (they all have funny names). We are all different and we don’t like to do the same things. Some of us are small, others are big. But we all have our place at camp, where we can do what we love.

I enjoyed all the moments I’ve spent here, together with my new friends, even when I had to wait to get lunch. I want to thank every camper and counselor. Because of them, every day I spent at camp was “my best day”.
