Jibin Abraham, Sachin Mathew, Tinu Francis and Stebin George of MBA third semester, secured second position in the Finance Game at the Management Fest Reunion of the first batch MBA STUDENTS (2006-08 Batch) ' M uthoot Finance Aegle 2015', the South India Management Fest of the Albertian Institute of Management was organised on 29 th and 30 th October 2015. Rev. Fr. Antony Arackal, Manager, St. Albert's College, in his inaugural address stressed upon the importance of organising the Management Fests in B-Schools. It is a platform for the students to practice and execute the management theories learned by them in the class rooms. He advised the students to be 'Dynamic' and 'Innovative' to achieve success in all their endeavours. He appreciated the students of AIM for creating a video logo on 'Aegle 2015' and cited it as an example for innovation. Prof. Harry Cleetus, Principal, St. Albert's College, in his presidential address told the students to make use of the platforms like Aegle to enhance their leadership qualities and execution capabilities. His inspirational speech was really a motivation for the budding managers. Mr. Cherian Peter, Chief Marketing Officer, Muthoot Finance, in his felicitation address, gave a caricature on the steady growth of Muthoot Finance in a span of 125 years. Sharing his thirty years of experience in the field of marketing, Mr.Cherian revealed that marketing of 'Financial Product' is very cumbersome and challenging, because 'money' is the last thing any person would like to part with. Dr.Rajagopala Nair, Director, AIM, in his welcome address congratulated the students and the staff of AIM for their painstaking effort in organising such a big event like Aegle. Prof. C. R. Gopesh, Asst. Programme Co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Sales Officer Trainees - Decorative Paints and Tech. Sales Officer - Industrial Trainees at an annual salary package of Rs. 4. 75 Lakh. Mr. Jeril, Mr. Leon, Mr. Tinu and Mr. Akhil Vijayan have been shortlisted by the company for an Online Test, in this regard. October 2015. Addressing the students, Mr.Nambiarexplained the challenges of present day marketingespecially in service sector. He told the students to developmarketing mind to survive in the present day competitionwhich gives a lot of stress to the youngsters. 'Endeavour',our Entrepreneurship Development club was inauguratedon 10th October by the young entrepreneur Mr. DeepuSkaria. A celebrity in the Reality Shows, Mr. Deepu is theManaging Director of Truecoat Paints Pvt. Ltd. He advisedthe students to keep on reinventing at all times. The workethic for an entrepreneur would be 24x7, that is, the mindshould always be alert. To understand and analyse themarket, entrepreneur should have a continuous interactionwith the customers, he opined. CA Balagopal R., Chairman,Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ErnakulamBranch, inaugurated the Finance Club 'Fides' on 17th

October 2015. He spoke on the challenges of present dayfinance. 'Trust' is the most important virtue which a financemanager has to practice through out his/her life. Lack oftrust will lead to unethical practices and eventually into

scams, he exhorted. He told the students to get focusedand to be positive in their approach. Prof. Harry Cleetus,our principal, presided over in all these functions andstressed on the need for character formation. He sharedhis best experiences in life with the students and motivatedthem to achieve success in life. Dr. Rajagopala Nair, ourDirector offered felicitations and explained the importanceof functional clubs in B-Schools. The Finance club organizedmoneybhai.com, a finance game for the second yearstudents and 'Finance Olympiad' for the first year students.The Marketing club organized marketing quiz which is leadby Dr. Rajagopala Nair.

Vigilance Awareness Week @ AIM

As per the directives of the AICTE, the AlbertianInstitute of Management has organized a talk and panel

discussion to observe the Vigilance Awareness Week on28th October 2015. Mr. J. Vinayan, Chief Vigilance Officer,FACT, was the chief guest. Mr. Vinayan belongs to 1993

Photography competitions were organised for the UnderGraduate students on 29th October, in which around 52students participated. Dr. Jude Martin Mendez, Vice-Principal, St. Albert's College, distributed the prizes to thewinners.

Mr. George M. George, Managing Director, MuthootLeisure and Hospitality Services was the Chief Guest forvaledictory function which was held on 30th October. In histhought provoking speech, Mr. George M. George told thestudents to carry 'Passion' and 'Desire' to achieve successin business. He advised the students to do that business inwhich they have the real passion and develop desire tosucceed in that venture. He cautioned the students not tomix desire with wants, because wants may make peoplegreedy. We need 'Individual Social Responsibility (ISR)'rather than 'Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)', heopined. Rev. Fr. Christy David Pathiala, Asst. Manager, St.Albert's College, in his presidential address told that, theevents like Aegle will remain in the minds of the students

as a long cherishing memory and will refresh their campusmemories. Dr. Rajagopala Nair, Director, AIM, welcomedthe gathering and express his deep sense of gratitude tothe Faculty Co-ordinators Prof. Nidhin Johny & Prof. C. Best Manager, Business Quiz, MarketingGame, Finance Game, HR Game and Unique Games wereorganised for the MBA and PGDM students on the secondday of Aegle in which 200 students participated. Mr. GeorgeM. George distributed the prizes to the winners. 'RangaPooja' a classical dance performance by Aiswarya A. V. offirst MBA was really a feast for eyes. There was a stunningperformance of contemporary dance by the first MBAstudents. Prof. Nidhin Johny proposed the vote of thanksfollowed by the 'Flash Mob' performance by the MBAstudents of AIM.
