• The only solid that doesn’t use ‘B’ is a sphere because it doesn’t have a base.

• When a vanilla scented candle was new, it was 1 foot tall and the distance across the top of the candle through the wick was 8 inches. How many cubic inches of wax was used to form this candle? Hint: make sure all your units are in inches.

• Holly works in the product analysis division of a sporting business. They are making tents out of a special cloth. The tent includes a material floor. If the tent’s triangle front has a base of 5 feet and a height of 4 feet and the tent is actually 7 ft long, how much material do they need to make the tent? Hint: you need to draw a picture and use the Pythagorean theorem to find a missing measurement.
