Volunteering with La Oportunidad
is a chance to learn, grow, and
contribute; by taking on roles
and responsibili�es such as:
• Co-facilita�ng an a#erschool group of
children, working alongside one of our
experienced bilingual staff members to
manage a classroom of 10-15 youth.
• Partnering with staff to brainstorm and
develop weekly lesson plans for your
group.
• Gaining prac�ce using Spanish and
English interchangeably in bilingual
mul�-cultural se.ngs.
• Mentoring young adults through the
process of applying for jobs or univer-
si�es.
• Working with young children one-on-
one or in small groups to develop early
reading skills.
• Refreshing your own arts and cra#s
skills with glue s�cks, paper mache,
watercolors, drawing inside the lines,
and lamina�ng machines!
