vWorkspace is a virtual desktop solution that is now available for all staff and students at Warrnambool College. You can access vWorkspace from any device in any location as long as you have an internet connection. When you connect to vWorkspace you can access a full desktop session or choose a single app session. The full desktop session is a windows operating system & has all of the licensed software installed that is available at the college.

Mac Guide 1st time connection/web connection Access the link above using your web browser(safari, chrome or firefox) to connect to the vworkspace portal. Accessing this portal allows you to install the vWorkspace connector* Once the vWorkspace connector is installed on your device, you no longer have to go to the portal to access vWorkspace. *Installation of the connector requires admin access on the device. If you do not have this access on your device then you can connect using the HTML5 connector. Once you log in using this method, it will take you straight to the session choice page. Installing the vWorkSpace Connector

Log in using your compass credentials.

Click install. Open the downloaded file & copy program to the Applications folder.

Switch back to the browser window and click retry.

There may be some security warnings pop up that will vary by web browser.

Just click next, open or launch to continue.

Upon successful connection you will get to the session choice page.

Select Desktop for a full windows desktop with access to all software.

If the window to the left comes up then just ignore it and click back on the webpage as shown below. Click install. Open the downloaded file & install it using the default options.

Using the Application on PC & Mac Once you have installed the app, there is no need to access vWorkspace through the web method listed above. You can find the vWorkspace app in the Applications folder on your Mac, or the Desktop on your PC. If you cant find it do a search.

Enter the address https://vworkspace.wblcoll.vic.edu.au. The next screen you can select Inside Office if you are at Warrnambool College or Outside Office if you are anywhere else.

Accessing USB Drives & Local Computer Drives (PC & MAC)

To use a USB drive with vWorkspace, it has to be plugged in BEFORE you login and connect to vWorkspace. The below screenshots from explorer show the hard drive of the computer you are working on and the USB drive plugged into it.
