Warp Film
Ownership & Funding
Warp Films is an independent film company so wouldn’t be able to include
special effects to the same standard as Working Title. In an interview about
funding Warp Film said this:
‘When it comes to funding everyone loves a reason to say no: which is where
short films come in, you can go into a meeting and have something to show
potential funders. If you go to a festival and meet with a funder, they’re
probably doing twenty meetings a day over 2 weeks and only going to
commit to three films. The odds are stacked against you so need plenty of
tricks in your pocket to impress them. At the same time, it’s important not to
focus on things like BFI strategy and how many shorts they may fund, strategies
will keep on changing. Just keep going, there are plenty of ways to get
noticed.’
