• Facility Size? 1’700 m2 ( 1’400 m2 workshop + 300 m2 office / lecture )

• How many persons will be trained on annual basis, how many training hours/year.Roughly 3’500 training hours per year ( from 2008 )Roughly 500 - 600 trainees per year ( from 2008 )

• How many people work at WLSA in Korea? Present 5, planned total about 7 to 8 people in 2007, and first half of 2008.

• What functions/sorts of training will be available? Anything special only for WLSA Korea?Product Training RTA, RT-Flex, DF50, W20, Vasa 32, Engineering Training Mechanical Workshop, NDE workshop, Welding Workshop to fine tune engineers practical skills.

Wärtsilä Korea – Product Training Courses

Basic Training Courses (RTA, RT-flex & W50DF)3 day course is intended for ships engineers and/or non-officer engine roomratings with a limited knowledge in marine diesel engine principles or operational experience.

Hands-on Training Courses (RTA, RT-flex & W50DF)5 day course is intended for marine engineers, preferably with some limited knowledge/experience with Wärtsilä Products

Hands-on / WECS Simulation Training Courses (RT-flex, W50DF)5 day course is intended for marine engineering personnel-watch keeping engineers, maintenance engineers and all other professionals with responsibilities related to shipboard daily operation and maintenance


Wärtsilä Korea – Engineering Training Courses

Mechanical, Welding and Non Destructive Examination Engineering Training (5 days)

• General mechanical, welding and NDE theory• Specific hand-on training with various tools in work shop• Manufacture and assemble parts according drawing specification• Equipment set-up and parameter adjustment• Evaluation of root causes for arising problems • Hands-on work with visual testing (VT), penetrant testing (PT),

magnetic testing (MT) procedure and limited ultrasonic testing (UT) procedure on actual test pieces

• Hands-on with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW & FCAW welding process• Exercise and evaluate the correct application

Wärtsilä Korea – Terms and Conditions

Courses• Each curses arranged upon request with minimum of four (4) confirmed

participants.

Course Fee Includes• Cover-all for Hands-on training

• Documentation (Hardcopy and CD/Memory Stick)

• Daily lunch and coffee/tea

• Daily transportation between hotel and the course premises.

• The course fee does not include trainee’s travel expenses (to country/city where the training is conducted) as well as accommodation expenses (hotel and dinner)



Registration Confirmation• Registrations are not confirmed until a notice of confirmation has been

received.

Course Cancellation Policy• No cancellation fee charged with non-attendance notification 14 or more

calendar days before course starting date.

• 50% of course price cancellation fee charge with non-attendance notification between 14 and 7 calendar days before course starting date.

• 100% (full course price) cancellation fee charged with non-attendance notification less than 7 calendar days before course starting date.

• 20% of 1st night charge per room when Hotel room package was booked over WLSA with non-attendance notification less then 7 calendar days before course starting date.



Local Transportation• Local transportation from hotel to training centre included in course fee.

Safety Policy• Each participant observes personnel safety regulations, all safety

equipment is supplied by WLSA for curse duration

Lodging• Payments for hotel accommodation shall be settled directly between the

customer and the hotel.

• Upon request, our training centre offers an attractive, complete “room”package for our customers which includes hotel accommodation andbreak fast.
