SHORT DESPRIPTION – TYPE 1000

o The WATERMASTER mobile water treatment unit is a system for the separation of undesirable solids,chemical and / or radiological components by mechanical, chemical or physical processes.

o The result of the wastewater treatment is water, which can be discharged from the radiological and thechemical point of view.

o This water does not require any further treatment.

o The resulting wasters are bound in the filter material, this filter material is combustible. The quality of thewaste water to be treated and the determination of the atomic (radiation protection legislation) permit aswell as the water law permit decide on the selection of the cleaning modules and the cleaning strategy.

We offer the WATERMASTER 1000 as a treatment of waste water from thedismantling of the nuclear power plants as a service and charge our water percubic meter of incoming water.

CURRENT SITUATION

o The countless combinations of waste water do not pose a technical problem for classic cleaning systems.

o Currently radioactively contaminated variants with radionuclides (e.g. Co-60, Cs-137) cannot besatisfactorily conditioned by existing wastewater treatment plants.

o Existing filter presses are able to conditionate solids (e.g. concrete dust) or solid residues(e.g. from wiresaws or core drilling) up to a residual moisture content of approx. 7 to 10%.

o All dissolved components remain in the residual water and must be collected and treated using a differentprocess.

o A subsequent drying of the filter pressing would be necessary in any case for disposal as radioactivewaste.

CURRENT SITUATION IN NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS

o The dirty water evaporators used in nuclear power plants (thermal evaporators or vacuum evaporators,e.g. from Loft) are able to safely condition the radiological impurities, but they fail completely whenseparating solids.

o If the solids content of the waste water to be purified is between 15% and a maximum of 30%, themaximum limit is reached and the concentrate produced must be collected and conditioned according to afurther costly and high dose rate procedure.

o In case these limits are exceeded, it has been proven that solids accumulate on the inside of the heatexchanger pipes and that the unit becomes unusable within a short operating period.

OUR IDEA

o With a mobile cleaning system that is able to condition various combinations ofimpurities including radioactive contaminants.

o The waste produced should be processed to its final state and the purified waterproduced should be ready for disposal in the sense of a water-legal permit.

o Ensure the processing of small quantities (10 to 15 m³) and larger quantities on thebasis of a reliable chemical and radiological waste water analysis of plants in operationas well as under the difficult conditions of decommissioning nuclear power plants.

SUMMERY – OUR WATERMASTER 1000

o Our WATERMASTER 1000 water treatment and decontamination module fully meets the requirements ofthe operators of nuclear facilities, with the accumulation of waste water with radiological load (researchreactors, teaching facilities, state institutions) as well as those of nuclear power plants in decommissioningand treatment centers with problematic waste water (sedimented fractions, metal chips, radiologicalcomponents in solution, fine concrete dust, oils, etc.)

o Usually 200 litre drums can be prepared in shortest time according to the rules and conditioned (withapprox. 7% residual moisture).

o None of the cleaning and conditioning systems currently available on the market is able to produce cleanwater (discharge to the environment) and end-conditioned residues by combining different processes fromwaste water with different impurities.
