DIRECTORS NOTES

The inspiration for our script this year came from our country’s military.  I felt inspired by those men and women who make sacrifices every day, including Christmas.  Could you spend a Christmas serving your country instead of your family?  With all the hustle and bustle surrounding the holidays, it’s easy to forget about all those serving our country, and the families left behind, struggling to celebrate alone this Christmas.  In 2010, the United States recorded 1,429,995 active duty

and 850,880 reserve.

This show is dedicated to our Armed Forces - active duty, reserve, veterans, fallen.  We have not forgotten you.

Jes SudbrinkDirector

SPOTLIGHT ON THE BOARD OF D IRECTORS

Welcome and thank you for visiting Waukesha Civic Theatre for a little respite in this busy time. This is WCT’s 5th year of presenting Candy Cane Tales And Holiday Carols, our home-grown holiday variety show. Even if you’ve enjoyed a past show of the same name, you are still in for some surprises today!

The show is appropriately directed by Waukesha’s own Lunt and Fontanne, Jacob and Jes Sudbrink. This happy couple embodies the spirit of the season, which is, of course, all about being together with people you love.

If your to-do list includes shopping for friends and family, consider purchasing a Festive Flex Four For $56! These four tickets can be used at any time during the current season, for one or more shows. A great deal for a great gift.

We’re glad that you chose to be with WCT this season! Thanks again and enjoy the show.

WAUKESHA C IV IC THEATRE MISS ION STATEMENT

WCT’s mission is to provide quality live theatre performances and educational opportuni-ties that enrich challenge and entertain both participants and audience members.

M AD CORNER

As Andy Williams said, “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.” And in the words of Blues Traveler “If it’s Hanukah, or Kwanzaa, Solstice Harvest, or December 25th, peace on earth to everyone, and abundance to everyone you’re with.” I love this season, and I love WCT’s tradition of presenting an affordable family show for the community to enjoy. This season we continue to build a tradition that has long been a dream of mine, Candy Cane Tales And Holiday Carols, a holiday variety

show that gives us a little bit of everything. We hope you enjoy the stories, the music, the characters, and the sentiment as much as we do. And remember, if you’re looking for a good gift to give this season, consider our Festive Flex Four For $56 … a wonderful gift of theatre to share with anyone! Happy Holidays!
