This 2.5-hour seminar presents the use cases for optical fronthaul, midhaul, and backhaul. Optical technologies and architectures based on the 1830 Versatile WDM Module (VWM) are proposed for fronthaul to meet 5G requirements, as well as solutions to support a packetized fronthaul (TPS: Time-sensitive Packet Switch).

This seminar will present the value proposition of Nokia GMPLS Routing Engine (GMRE) while controlling optical transport networks. After introducing the key GMPLS features, the seminar will focus on the technologies and solutions supported by GMRE, and will additionally show some typical use cases. Protections such as SBR, GR, and PRC are included, and fiber cut scenarios will also be discussed. Registration is available on a first-come, first serve basis as part of the event registration.
