WEEKLY REPORTS & NEWSLETTER
Look for weekly reports in the student’s Friday Folder.
There will be a sticker for each week if there were no problems.
If there was a problem, a number that reflects the rule broken will be written in by the teacher and a Pink Slip, Behavior Slip or Think Sheet filled out by the student will be attached to the weekly report. Please leave these slips attached.
Please sign the report for each week and return Monday in the Friday Folder.
This is a great communication tool!Look for a weekly newsletter in the Friday Folder
also! The newsletter will contain the next week’s spelling words and upcoming important dates. Soon to be paperless and on class webpages.

- Students will be given study guides before each test.
- Each week students will be participating in guided inquiry.
- Implementing Project Lead The Way building wide.
Fifth graders will be taking the Science MAP.

Book ReportsReading Logs will be used in lieu of book reports.
At least 20 minutes, at least 4 times per week, parent signature required for each session.
**Reading Logs are due every two weeks! A list of dates is included in the packet.
These count for points as well as toward the Reading Circle Certificate.
Writing In Homerooms
Grammar- parts of speech, usage, sentence structure.
Quarterly Writing Projects- Writer’s Workshop, the writing process, effective writing traits.
Journaling and Quick Writes.

Recess Temperature Guidelines
EXTREME HEAT – We will not be going outside if the
temperature is above 95 degrees.
EXTREME COLD - We willNot be going outside if the Temperature is below 20 degrees. Please send students with appropriateattire.
Medication- All medication must be
checked into the nurse, including cough drops.
Parent Pick-up - Parents are asked to
remain in their car and watch for staff members’ directions.
Parents are welcome at lunch School policy - NO recess
Birthday Treats- No homemade treats
- Please notify teacher ahead of time.- Only store-bought items
