FLEXX Track

(Track Condition Monitoring)FLEXX Track (Track Condition Monitoring System) is based on the innovative Mechatronic technology platform develo-ped by Bombardier. The following products are derived from this concept:

• FLEXX Tronic (Mechatronic Bogie)• FLEXX Track (Track Condition Monitoring)• FLEXX Guide (Bogie Condition Monitoring).

Those three applications use the same components and systems, which represent a major advantage in terms of maintenance and costs.

FLEXX Track is a sensor-based measurement system which is designed to monitor track conditions and evaluate their deterioration over time. It is installed on series vehicles and the data acquisition is active during normal operation. The information obtained thanks to FLEXX Track system are used to identify and locate the following track disturbances: track torsion, vertical track disturbances, crushes at joints and switches as well as rail ripples.

It is designed as a modular system and can be confi gured for various measurement requirements. The results can be compared with the requirements given by the relevant standards like TSI, UIC, EN.

Track report

The FLEXX Track system can be accessed by the users via internet (www.fl exxtrack.com), intranet or e-mail. Standard track reports can be downloaded from the website or sent via e-mail.

The results are visualized in tabular form and graphical views including an evaluation of the track status (according to the adequate standards). A geographical mapping of track disturbances is available supported by GoogleMaps®**.
