There is, however, a charge in addition at some events ( bowling, golf, tennis) for use of the facilities and several events offer a free lunch! Also with that registration, you are issued an OSGA Participation Card that states that you are a registered participant of District 30, a proud member of the Ontario Senior Games Association. This card is valid for one year with your registration and will be validated once for every year you register in our games (up to 2014/15). Please keep these cards safe as the number is used when registering for provincial and regional events.
Have fun….meet new fr iends ….and stay active! NOTE: This year is a Regional Games year. Those who win gold, silver and in some events bronze at the LSG games will be eligible to participate in the Regional Games held Aug. 14, 2013 in District 29. These events will be in Delaware, Komoka, Mt. Brydges and Strathroy. (See page 8 for details)
2013 LSG SUMMER GAMES SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
London Senior Games is a Member in Good Standing of the Ontario Senior Games Association
LSG is an organization run by a team of volunteers to provide friendly , mental and/or physical competitions to any one 55 years of age or older who resides in the City of London and surrounding area. These activities are offered as fun filled, social events that can be enjoyed by all. It was very gratifying to see the high number of people who came out and took part in the LSG “55+ Winter Games” in November of 2012. Many of the winners of these games took the opportunity to represent London in the Ontario 55+ Winter Games held in Huntsville in February 2013. A total of 85 people from our district were treated to a 3 day event that featured some fun competition, renewal of old friendships and a chance to enjoy the hospitality that the City of Huntsville provided. A special thanks goes out to people who didn’t partake in any of the events, but went with us to support the participants and to be goodwill ambassadors from the City of London. The preparations for the 2013 LSG 55+ Summer Games are completed and these events will be held at various locations across the city. The winners of these games will have the opportunity to advance to the 55+ Regional Games to be held in Delaware, Komoka, Mt. Brydges and Strathroy on August 14, 2013. Good luck to all! A big THANK YOU goes out to all the convenors and helpers who have volunteered their time and energy to help run the games. Without all your good work and dedication these games would not be the success they are. A special “thank you” to Wendy and Bill Bice for all their generous help and support.
