Flexible Liquid rubberized waterproofing are especially suitable when faced with various obstacles on balconies and old rooftops with penetrations such as antennas, satellite dishes, solar panels etc. A fast curing, single component polyurethane membrane which has exceptional flexibility yet is tough enough for the most demanding applications.

Cementitious WaterproofingCementitious products are probably the easiest waterproofing materials to use. They’re readily available from suppliers of masonry products, and they’re easy to mix and apply. If you plan to use this material, a long-handled brush will make your life easier. Also, spend the extra money to buy acrylic additive (a white, milky liquid) to mix in with the cement product. You’ll get better bonding and a more solid, durable coating.

The chief disadvantage is that cementitious products have no give to them probably because cement just doesn’t stretch to any degree worth mentioning. They will stand up fine to a head of water, but will tolerate almost no joint or crack movement.

In contrast to passive sealing systems such as conventional water stops and waterstop sheets, which only seal off due to the so-called circumference extension, active systems such as injection hoses and injection grouts can be used to cancel out possible weak points in the concrete caused by cracks or badly compacted concrete.

Foam ConcreteFoam concrete, also called cellular concrete, is typically made of water, cement and foam. This mixture may also include aggregates or chemicals added to change its physical properties. It is a lightweight material with low density and limited strength in most applications. It is typically a self-levelling and compacting material that is more resistant to cracking and shrinkage than standard concrete mixes.

Some foam concrete mixes include Portland cement that is mixed with the cement and foam by itself or mixed with pulverized fly ash. It may also include limestone. Each of these mixtures makes a cement product ideal for different applications, but typically all foam concrete products become more resistant when compressed and aren’t vulnerable to liquefication or settlement once hardened.
