Principals Report
As we pass half way through term one it is a chance to reflect on the very positive start we
have had to the year. Our new spelling program is now well and truly up and running K to 6,
with staff and students being challenged and engaged. My office walls are filling quickly with
student work samples from across the school. It is a daily highlight when students proudly,
bring their work to share with me. Movement around the school has been improved as the
building works enter the final stage. Our beautiful Indigenous garden survived the horror
summer with new growth emerging with the much-needed rain.
Our welcome afternoon and BBQ was very well attended. This a great opportunity for every-
one to meet and generally get to know each other. Equally, our three-way interviews provid-
ed an opportunity for staff, parents and students to look at the year ahead and plan goals for
learning.
A reminder about road safety around our school. The car park is only a drop off zone for stu-
dents with a disability. This includes the driveway areas which can be dangerous if not left
clear for access. Our bottom gate, in Petit St, is the preferred drop off zone as it has more
parking and is not impacted by buses.

Congratulations and good luck to our swimmers who are heading to Regional’s at Dapto next week on Wednesday 11th March.
